An excellent mouse overall and part of the MK850 keyboard/mouse combo. The cheapest it has been in a little while, though not the historic low.

Uses a single AA battery which lasts for ages (up to 24 months as per Logitech). I have one and like its overall size (not too big or small), weight (on the heavier side), build quality (well made, soft rubber surface) and responsiveness (no lag via dongle, no dropouts). Good for working from home.

Currently $69 from Bing Lee and $89 from JB Hi-Fi/Officeworks

  • I've had one of this for nearly two years from a previous deal for about the same price. So far so good. I felt of a lot drifting since Logitech abandoned their true laser lines. This one is relatively bulk in size but has been reliable for most surfaces I have used.

The MK850 Combo (K850 keyboard + M720 mouse) is still on discount at $109.5
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173501850341

Using in the combo it brings a few more feature compare to just using M720, including

    • Logitech flow (seamlessly moving mouse across computers instead of clicking the switch button), also allow copying files and text across
    • Fn key in keyboard to use as combination with the M720 mouse
    • One unify receiver for both mouse and keyboard
    • The K850 is one of the most horrible keyboard I have ever used,
The sloping natures, of the keyboard, makes it horrible to type on,

Used it for a week, and then palm it off to my kids instead.. total waste of money..

the M720 on the other hand, is pretty much the near perfect mouse for size and weight..

      • really, i loved it we have 2 x K350 in the house but i purchased the K850 for the spare room/video conference desk, it is super quiet, easy key press, decent key travel, solid feeling keyboard. I ended up purchasing a second one now that my workplace hot desks so i have my own keyboard/mouse rather than the cheapest dell/ibm set available.

brought from last jb wicked wednesday, pretty good mouse, easy to use and convient to switch between devices.

    • same here, I like the one-click switch on different device design with BT connectivity. I use it between my PC and Mac.

  • one bonus point of this mouse is the switch button on the side, not on the bottom like MX Master and MX Anywhere.

    • Yep. It can also do side scrolls with the scroll wheel and most buttons are customisable through the app.

Just FYI - We have two of these at home, I use mine daily for just about 2 years now and it has developed a dodgy left click button. The left click would un-click itself when click dragging and occasionally double click when clicked only once.

Contacted logitech support and as expected they say the warranty is only for a year. Anyway, turns out it's a fairly common issue with a relatively straightforward fix. Just in case anyone here needs this info (don't throw your mouse out!). 🐭

Great mouse despite the trouble with the microswitch!

    • i've had my 720 since 2017 and had that intermittent non-registering left click problem after about 2 years use as well. i might try contact cleaner on the switch first
