  • Do you have to access this sale through their facebook app? I couldn't find it on the Hoyts website

      • So is that a yes ??? You do have to have a facebook account and allow permission to the app in order to see the sale ?

Oh, my mistake. I thought you said "Do you have access to this sale through their Facebook app?"

I would say yes. They've been pushing their Facebook lately. It's all SSL encrypted and their security is fine, so your credit card details aren't going to get stolen. This is 2012. :p

I noticed cinema's are finally dropping their prices. Good on them.

  • Does the $8.50 include booking fee?

    • From what I can see there is no booking fee. The booking fee (Or "additional" fee) I mentioned was for 3D. Is that what you meant?

      • +1

When you redeem the ticket online for a standard movie do you have to pay an addition booking fee or is it included in the $8.50

          According to T&C
          They must be printed and exchanged at the box office or candy bar in any Hoyts cinema in Australia on the day of viewing;

        • from Facebook

"They must be printed and exchanged at the box office or candy bar in any Hoyts cinema in Australia on the day of viewing;"

thus, my guess being, no online redemption, only in person. :)'

edit. damn beat me to it.

I wish the ticket price will stay like this forever, no need to wait for another promotion.

  • Good for people who miss out on the Village sale or has no Village cinemas near by. Else, this is $1 more per ticket than the Village deal and valid for the same period of time.

  • A week too late - got my 6 village ones

  • Option for BCC and Event Cinemas, RACQ do $10 tickets for most movies. Need to buy vouchers from an RACQ store. Been doing this for a while

  • How much will the additional 3D fee be? The difference between a normal and 3D ticket?

    • +1

      From memory it's 3.50. But I think that's Xtreme Screen + 3D.

    • yep, like 2-3 bucks

    • That promotion ended March 2011.

"Discount". lol, this is close to the max I'd pay for a movie ticket, tbh.

why do I need to waste money when I can download it for free

  • Ahhh last time they had this offer I got an email straight away, no email yet. Sigh.

  • I tweeted them last night and got an email this morning with them if anyone was wondering.

  • Just purchased, logged into email and got the confirmation email and the email containing the vouchers PDF. If you haven't received yours yet most likely your email was wrong or the mail never made it past your filters! :(
