    i managed to get a victorinox paring knife for free with my bday voucher last year. takes a bit of scrounging but you have to look for items with free shipping. i wasn't a club catch member either

          Seems strange they would change it suddenly in last 2 weeks, after many years.

          They regularly send non birthday offers of $10 with a minimum spend.

                @INFIDEL: OP's was received 3 days out. Which is about right when compared to mine. Will see if they send another on Sunday. Otherwise will see if someone else reports the same.

                Unless they treat different customers with different promos? Have had my account for years, since their one product per day era, and have not received birthday offers before.

                  @tatasauce: Yes - found the first email sent 3 days before & on your birthday.

                  Its also Catch's 14th Birthday.
                  So would expect the min purchase offers - normal for their sales.

                  The BIRTHDAY code seems more likely for their birthday sale (tried on my account - not valid), rather than HAPPYBDAY used for a customer's birthday.

                  But as you say - your email subject is the same as my original HAPPYBDAY no min purchase email. (Surprise, ****! We remembered.)
                  Could be different offers targeted to different people??

                  I have several accounts - other accounts don't have the birthday in profile, so don't receive the birthday offer.
