    $221.40 for eBay plus members - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/114721684285?chn=ps&norover=1&mk…

    EDIT: For $300 starter kit

    • Can you price beat it in OW ?

      PS: Am a plus member

  • You can also price beat in OW and bring it down to around 150
    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/boost-mobi…

    • Anyone had any luck do this?

      • +1

Was successful in price beating the $300 sim, got it down to $221.35

    • OW one doesn’t say Bonus data on the pack?
Is it given by Boost when you buy $200 pack?

      • All good, please ignore my last comment guys.

Got Price Beat from OW for $200 one , paid $150.10 - the counter lady wasn’t sure if they can PB this website but manager did it and mentioned he will do it but even he wasn’t sure 😅

$200 starter kit also $151.47 for ebay plus members https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/233852604232?hash=item3672b38f48…

    • For some reason it's showing me $158.30. Was there some kind of a deal I missed?

      • May be after using 5% giftcards it comes down to that price

        • I thought it's 3% gift cards on shopback ?

  • +1

Thanks to Oz Tech and Cellmate, I haven’t had to pay full price directly through Boost for a few years now.

    Awesome stuff

    • how can you renew at the end of term? don't you have to port out?

      • Yeah, I always keep an eye out on here for another providers starter kit to come up, and then just port out and back within an hour

        • i thought it has to be 30 days? Just asking as i need to do this soon

          • @hippo2s: Nah, you can port out and back in quick

It’s only if you wanna do one of the Telstra deals, that you can’t have been a Telstra customer within 30 days

            • @[Deactivated]: Thanks buddy. There's multiple people in the same boat, some would like to know which provider can allow you to port in/out quickly.

              • @hippo2s: All good mate.

Lebara and Optus prepaid are pretty quick

            • @[Deactivated]: I am with aldi which use telstra, can I port to boost using this Kit?

              • +1

                @bheart: 100%

Been on Boost mobile, do you have access to telstra rewards i.e. Telstra village cinemas tickets?

    • +1

      Nope

      • Thank you for verifying.

  • Sorry if this is a silly question - for the 240gb plan - sim expiry is 10/2022 which mean to get the full 365 days of use it must be activated by 10/2021? Keen to understand as my current plan expires in 12/2021 and I wouldn't want to activate until then. Thanks in advance.

    • +1

You should buy from eBay listing in a comment above its activate before 10/2022 so you should be fine.

    • +2

      SIM EXPIRY 10/2022
365 days expiry starts from the day customer activates their sim card.

This means if you activate the sim card on 01-10-2022 your 365 days will start from 01-10-2022 to 30-09-2023.
Hope this will give you a clear answer.
      Thanks

      • BOOST is really a best choice when it comes with such a deal.
I am planning to enrol it for my whole family with 3 plans! :)

  • I'm well over halfway through my 240GB 365-day plan right now - it's been great, and I can recommend to anyone.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a deal like this to recharge when this one is used up?

  • I was on the $150 80gb prepaid from last year's deals. Do I have to port out and port back in for this? And I purchase now, can I activate it in August or September?

    • +1

As above - these cards and extra bonus downloads may not be available after July. As such my strategy is to 1 order a kogan sim $5. order this card (already).

      1. A week before end of my Boost from last year, i will port number to Kogan.
      2. a couple of days later, apparently we don't have to wait 30 days. Activate the Boost and port back in.

Trick here is that we don't have to wait 30 days, posts above indicate it can even be done in hours.

  • Does anyone know which provider you can port out and in the quickest and without a glitch? I heard that porting in from Telstra was a nightmare a year ago, as they both basically are "Telstra" or uses Telstra infrastructure - even some of the verifying means emails are sent from a Telstra email address.

  • Regarding 150GB Data for $158.00, can I use this for renew my current Boost 12 month Plan?

    • Explained above. Basically, NO, but by porting out then back in you can make it work for you.

  • so for the $200 prepaid sim, if activated after 5/7/2021 you only get 30Gb and not get the 120Gb bonus?

    • At the moment, Yes But if BOOST continues the offer after 05-07-2021 or comes up with fewer or more Data offer it will depend so have to wait and see.

  • Just checking - there's no reason why I can't use this in an Ipad ? I need the full Telstra network, not the Telstra Wholesale network that they provide to other MVNO's.

  • Can anyone confirm if you get the bonus 120GB (total 150GB) with the $200 starter kit from OW? Thanks

    • I can confirm that you do get 150 GB with OW. I have it now. I would assume (and assuming is dangerous) that it's linked to the actual sim plan not where you purchase it from, but I logged into the app especially to check it out for you.

      • Thanks

  • OW said they are not able to price match. I tried the 300GB one.

    • I was able to get the $200 one price matches at OW @ Pitt St OW for $150.10. The teller tried to say they didn't do it because the companies address was a PO BOX, but I asked him to speak with the manager, who just did it.

      • +1

You were lucky then. I tried at OW Carnegie and the manager said the company looks dodgy so they can't price match.

        • +1

Yes, sounds like it. I was lucky because some other guy arrived as I did who was complaining about something to do with his computer. I think the manager just gave me the discount because he didn't want two unhappy people in (not that I was complaining, just asking questions).

Just a heads-up to peeps that want to apply these to existing services via the chat. Just did it a few minutes ago. It took a while to get the process rolling.

So what the agent did is they cancelled the service in the old Sim and put in a porting request for the new one. Apparently they're having problems so I need to wait. I currently have the new number and nothing is displayed for call, data, SMS in the boost app.

    Hopefully it resolves soon.

Porting out to someone like Vodafone or Optus and porting back to boost would've been easier.

    • Have you managed to get you Old number transferred? I have the same issue here

      • Man I'm speaking with them and am told I would need another sim or they're going to try the process again. I shouldn't have listened to people telling me to contact the agent and should've ported out first

        • +1

So I was given a time frame of (get this) 4 - 72 hours.

          • @Hahuh: hey mate, have this been fixed for you??

I'm currently on the online chat with the "agent" and they are in the process of doing the exact same thing to me

            • @Homr: Nope I'm going to have to wait 72 hours from now. Probably more if it's business days. Utter crock.

              • @Hahuh: I just ported to Lebara for a few days then I'm porting back to Boost on Monday

          • @Hahuh: This is from my online chat

"Got it. Thanks for verifying your account Homr. I know that you wanted your number to be assigned to the new sim.

As of the moment we are having a system upgrade and sim replacement request is not going through and this will take 24-48hours to be resolved.

We already created a ticket about this and we are working on this. Hopefully this will be resolved within the day.

If it is okay with you, if you can chat us back tomorrow morning to process the request is that okay?

Rest assured that this will be documented on your account and we'll take note of this so it will be much easier and faster next time. All you need to do is provide a reference number which I will be providing later after I put the notation on your account and my colleague will be sure to complete your request asap without asking you too much question."

WOW, stuff that, I'm aborting this hard and just going to go the porting process. I can't risk on losing my number that I had for 15 years+

            • @Homr: Telstra called me back directly and now I'm chatting with them. They are stating they're having problems. Atm. She's conferig with the boost department now. I'm writing this whilst I'm chatting to them on 3 way. Good evening I'll be your play by play today. Please kindly standby.

So i was put through to boost and had to explain my crp again.

Thanks for your patience. Im here to update you on what's happening. I'm waiting and they're going to try again. Riveting I know.

Apparently need to wait. Arggghhhhhhhhhhhh. Man I had this number for like 20 years.

Read the horror stories here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/628514

From now on, I have a personal vendetta against anyone who recommends they chat to the CS rep

              • @Hahuh: Same. I just got a call from Telstra rep..saying that they receive my chat log with a previous agent. And they'll lmk

              • @Hahuh: hey mate, did you get your number back? I'm in the same situation and followed someone's advice here to chat with rep to transfer my old number to the newly purchased starter card. They said network maintenance is causing the issue and asked me to wait 24-48hrs. What a nightmare it will be if we have to loose our number permanently

                • @0zyt0zy: Yeh they said that to me yesterday aswell. I told them to leave my account exactly the way as it is currently and ask them to pretend that I never chatted to them

                • @0zyt0zy: UPDATE: Seems like their systems working. Number successfully ported. Mobile data dropped for a minute. Diaper #150# and number confirmed

  • Price matched from OW, Thanks OP

  • Great deal. FYI 240 GB is out of stock.
