  • Just bought a USBC tablet, any good suggestions for 4k@60hz hubs?

    • A good 4k60hz hub doesn't seem to exist yet on the Australian market.
Many of the hubs listed on Ozbargain are missing HDCP meaning no DRMed content.

    • check if the tablet can even do 4k@60hz

What happens if I my laptop needs 105W from its charger via this? It won't allow and limit it to 87W or is it going to overheat?

    • +1

That seems like a lot of power for a laptop… I wouldn't use it if it can't supply the required output

    • +1

You'll be limited to 87w going to the laptop.

Just bought one. I am not sure if you want to charge your laptop via this device. I just plug my laptop charging cable directly to my laptop. I use this device as adapter for my 2 external monitors. The device drew power from my laptop via USB C cable.

  • Which one will work with new Dell XPS13 with USB C Ports. And also how can we connect RJ45 Ethernet with Triple Display USB C HUB model.

  • Warning to those interested. My experience might be anecdotal, but I bought the first product (8 in 1 grey) in March and it has stopped working after a month or so. Dont know whether a poor-quality product (although looks solid) or poor quality control. Wasn’t dropped or mishandled. Also note that although it's not a fault, the USB-C input is apparently for charging only (i.e. you can’t plug in a USB-C device into it).

  • Got the dual HDMI version in the hope of connecting two monitors to our work laptops. It was not capable of this, two of the screens were mirrored and not extended, and windows couldn't customize it effectively.

With the laptop closed, two monitors extended correctly but the screens and/or laptops wouldn't wake up from sleep.

The Officeworks Comsol brand dual HDMI adapter worked correctly, however lacked the nice extra ports and power passthrough.

So lots of cables to plug into our Surface Laptops, unfortunately.

Can't see any options other than expensive docks for 6x the price.
