  • Worth replacing my Kogan 1440p 144hz VA panel? from a few years back?

    • +5

I mean on paper it is near identical, so doesn't seem like a great idea without more reasons.

  • I got this for my kid the other day for $339 from them.. Wonder if they will give me the difference back then I'll buy him another one :)

Really nice screen if someone is looking for one

    • Most likely not, I tried doing the same thing and they denied it

  • Does this support gsync compatibility mode?

  • This or the iPS m27q?

    • M27Q

      • Is the M27Q better than Dell 27" S2721DGF?

  • +4

Nice to see monitors cheap - I remember paying almost $1200 for 1440p 165hz ips a few years ago

    • +1

      This isn't IPS

      • +2

They aren't saying it is. It's just a comparison

      • are you suggesting if it was IPS, it would be around that price.. $1200 😮

  • +3

This panel gives ghosting/blurry image while playing (fps) games. Just something to consider.

  • Upvote because clarified the shipping location =)

  • The. M27Q is a much better monitor and is only $40 more https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/629274

I imagine if you hunt you'll find the G27Q, which is newer and also better than the G27QC, for a similar price as well if you're turned off by the BGR subpixel layout of the M27Q

    • +2

      BGR should be banned

      • +3

        Use it upside down

      • Got this monitor - BGW isn't noticeable. Granted I'm not using a mac on it.

Has a bit of edge bleed which is distracting in dark scenes, otherwise fantastic.

PD is low wattage (maybe 10W?). I didn't look this up before I bought and regret that slightly as it won't charge my laptop (or anything really apart from a keyboard) well enough.

The KVM is sort of useful, YMMV.

        Paid $400+ like 2 months ago :(

        • Wow thanks for highlighting that PD wattage, I was considering this for WFH use. That KVM was a huge selling point for me. I guess I will have to wait for the next thing then

Was going to order but $96 shipping to Perth is a bit much

    • +1

Try PCBytes, now same price and free shipping to Perth from what I can see.

      • Thanks so much for the info, ended up ordering the M27Q from PCBytes!

  • +1

Thanks OP, I bought my kids the 21st of May so I can claim a headset hehehe

  • Delivered (Excluding Remote Areas)

This should be the standard title format for all Centre Com deals.

    • +2

Annoyingly they seem to include the centre of Perth as a remote area

I've got this monitor and the ghosting is pretty bad tbh. I'd suggest avoiding this one.

Watch for dead pixels on this thing. I had the 32" model and it had dead pixels on arrival. Gigabyte won't want to know about it unless there are more than 5/6 of them. It's in their policy.

    • -2

Most manufacturers have similar dead pixel policies.

I don't think any manufacturer has a zero dead pixel policy.

Scorptec does have a dead pixel inspection service:

I don't think any manufacturer has a zero dead pixel policy.

        AOC does https://au.aoc.com/warranty.php

      • That may be fair enough… but I have never had a monitor with a dead pixel until buying the Gigabyte. Trying to return it ended up being a massive nightmare and I nearly didn't get a cent of my money back. Bought the Samsung G5 instead and not a dead pixel in sight.

    • Gigabyte are a total rubbish company tbh

  • +1

Theres other monitors aswell might be better getting the Gigabyte M27Q over this. also the 32" and 34" come with keyboards

  • Good for Xbox sx and Ps5 with the 120fps function?

  • I think this model has BGR subpixel too

  • +2

Don't buy this trusting the headset redemption will go through. Gigabyte are dodgy and often end their promotions early.

    • +1

I was going to point this out. I wonder how people went claiming their SSDs?

  • What's everyone's thoughts on this one for mainly office work and some Xbox One gaming (casually)?

    32" 4k, 60hz @ $379 delivered. Amazon US reviews look solid!

    • If you have an Xbox One X then it can do 4K @ 120hz so you would not be getting the benefit of an increased refresh rate.

  • The Xbox doesn’t have the processing power for 4k 120hz so it drops the res down to 1440p

  • What a joke. Just want to redeem my headset and their website shows below and no way to do it:
