  • I'm wondering if a TN panel this big would discolour at the edges

    • I’ve never heard of this happening. Do you have a link?

I mean because the viewing angle would be so shallow/not straight towards the edges as compared to the center

  • Hmm this looks interesting for a basic small "TV" if I add a Chromecast with Google TV to it… any idea what the power brick is (can I get it down to 12v?)

Looks like direct 240v no brick, need inverter still

I bought the Kogan version of this product, and since the Dahua model it is derived subsequently arrived on the market (substantially cheaper!) I've looked at it. The only difference appears to be the Kogan one gets a height adjustable mount, whereas the Dahua one is a fixed height mount. Both use a 12VDC 5A power adapter. The fact that it ran off 12V was part of the reason I got it. There's a Kogan 32", I think only 2560x1440, that does too if you are interested.

      • Is it any good?

      • Yeah, any good (or, not bad)?
        Colours, contrast?

    • why not just get a proper small tv?

where you planning to put this anyway?

      • I'm not really aware of a good 12v tv in this size and price that isn't 5 year or more old design. Hard to even get full HD (yes I know I won't really see 4K at that size). And I do t really need the tuner any more. Fitting out a bus…

        • oic.. i think you spend more on ips screen if you can
tn is not good for viewing angles

also i don't think this monitor is 12V

So you use that bus for travel, work or turn into a tiny home etc?

          • @pinkybrain: It is 12v.
I'm umming and ahhing over it as I type.
            Could be handy.

  • Daaaaaa huuuuaaaaaa…..

This model on here (Dahua LM28-F401) has speakers but is only Brightness of 250 cd/m2 while the other (Dahua LM28-F420) no speakers but has 300 nits brightness, claims to be HDR and few other better features,..

Handy too have this and the other 4K monitor also as a spare PC, Xbox, Playstation etc 4K monitor

Can't decide which too get but most likely I'll go for this much cheaper one (with Speakers $179.10) as a lot cheaper between the both, hoping eBay might have discount vouchers for the long weekend to further the deal 👍😁

  • Have too admit the bigger bezels put me of too it's more expensive Dahua LM28-F420 with no speakers but has 300 nits
