As a BP Rewards member, rent with Avis and fill up or shop at bp during the hire period to earn an additional 1,000 bonus points. Here’s how it works:

1. Book an Avis rental by 30 June 2021, for travel by 20 August 2021
2. Fill up on fuel or grab a snack at a participating bp during your rental period, and remember to scan your Frequent Flyer card at the counter
3. We’ll send 1,000 bonus points your way to put towards your next trip!

You’ll also earn the usual 4 points per $1 spent on your Avis rental, plus up to 2 points per litre of fuel and 1 point per $1 spent on eligible in-store purchases with BP Rewards.

    Yeah, you link your velocity card to 7-eleven app and buy a $1 coffee and get 711 points. But Qantas want you to rent a car (presumably at inflated prices due to covid), AND fill up at their specified petrol station, in order to earn 1000 points. Tell em they're dreaming. They are missing an extra zero for that amount of effort. And even then I still wouldn't bother because avis is rarely the best value rental car company, I would expect to save at least $100 by shopping around,which is more than the value of the points.

    Since it's clearly silly offer day, here's my counteroffer to Qantas : I will pay 100 points to watch Alan Joyce make a genuine concerted attempt to shove his whole fist into his mouth, whilst singing "I am the walrus", and doing the ice bucket challenge, whilst livestreaming the whole thing.
