      It's hard to quantify now I'm asked but mostly it comes down to cost, ease of use, quality, and reliability.

      Google isn't bad but I always seem to have issues requiring a reset. The shield is an expensive over-rated piece of $#*^, can't believe I was stupid enough to get a 2nd one after having so many issues with my 2017 model. The Five stick hasn't missed a beat since I got it (only had it 3 or 4 weeks now I think).

  Surprised at the lack of knowledge here, everyone recommending Google Tv… Of course Google TV is a great device, but without auto frame-rate matching, it's no a brainer to get the 4K Fire stick at this price point. Unless you don't mind judder or manually switching the frame rate, the fire stick is better for watching TV.
