The coffee equivalent of a freemium app..

    •

You aren't locked in to using their pods, there are a bunch of generic / alternative ones.

Have got mine one in Kellyville, with the friendly lady staffs helping, found out the Limited Edition is not count in this promotion.

So you need to buy 27 boxes of discount 10x L'OR coffee to get this promotion works.

    •

how much do the 27 boxes cost?

      • +4 votes

The deal is you have to spend $120

      •

Some coffee pods are more than $0.45 per capsule, like Arabica (Colorful) one which is like $6 or something for pack of 10, while the cheapest ones on website are $0.45 per capsule/pod (BUY 10 pack only i suggest, INSTEAD OF THE 20 Pack) Its same price per unit/per capsule.

  •

Anyone know what the machine is you get?

Only one I can see on their website is $159.

    https://shop.lorespresso.com.au/collections/homepage-carouse...

  •

Can anyone please confirm whether they got this deal or not.

    •

Just got one. Thank you so much OP.

  •

It's pretty good but very loud haha

In the last deal, I called up about 10 Woolies in S.E Melbourne, and none stock this machine.

    •

      select stores only

      • +1 vote

Do you know if there is any possible way I can find out which store stock the machine without having to call them up one at a time?

Can confirm Woolworths Moorabbin had 10+ machines when I went there about an hour ago. Hope that helps 😊

      •

Cheers! Just got one from Moorabbin. Still heaps left for those interested, just grab the non-limited edition half price pods.

    •

looks like SE always not participating. Again. SE woolworths need to up their game (just check close Clyde Shop not avaible)

  •

Good machine, got it during lock down from the spend $90 deal.

    •

$90 deal?? What machine was that??

      Lavazza ?? or this one

  •

Excellent machine i got one lat year on the same promo.
It takes lor capsules as well as nespresso and all nespresso generics.

Milk frother is ok, I only half fill to the max line or it makes it too frothy.

Protip, grab the coffee machine descaler from Coles for $4 for when you need it, rather than an expensive alternative.

The machine will flash at you when it needs descaling after every 100 or so coffees.

    •

Milk frother is ok, I only half fill to the max line or it makes it too frothy.

Remove the spring from the brother tip, it'll give you more of a latte/flat white froth.

      •

thanks mate ill try this today!

    •

Is the coles one safe to use?? like philips say to use citric based only

And how often did you descale it sorry?

      •

        Coles one is fine.
It will flash at you when you need to descale it

  •

Is it for Woolworths Rewards members only?

    •

No mention of it when I read the promo in-store this arvo.

  •

Thanks OP I picked one up and just wanted to confirm that it's the $249 model with milk frother and that it comes with a $20 voucher. When you self checkout the discount doesn't come off until you proceed to pay then the $249 comes off the final bill

    •

      What's the voucher for ?

      •

A free air guitar & L'Or pods if you register your serial number from the L'Or website.

        • +1 vote

My neighbours would prefer an air guitar to replace my air mic

        • +1 vote

          Where does it say that??

Because i Only see a mere $20 discount on spending $55 on their pods subscription

          But no guitar anywhere??

          Can you share link please?

        • +1 vote

Do you mind sharing where you getting free guitar?

  •

Hmmmm, not long bought a Delonghi Citiz Solo. Trying to talk myself into this deal lol

  • +1 vote

Just got one from Gilles Plains SA. About 10 left in stock at time of posting.

  •

Hmm they have a heap of these at my local woollies in QLD but they aren't aware of the deal.
Anyone know how this deal works so as I can get one? Much appreciated

    •

Just buy 27 yes 27 10 packs of lor coffee, the ones that sell for $4.50 each first and in same transaction the coffee My store had a "win" sign on it but when you read details it tell you how to redeem it.

    •

As sam-au has commented, however this doesn't show up while the items are scanning like normal deals, the discount is only added once its been totaled for payment. I took a family member back this morning to get one and the checkout staff seem to be unaware of this deal.

Someone above has commented that it seems to be selected stores only, but if they have machines there, give it a go, you can always cancel the transaction before payment if it doesn't work.

    •

      Which store?

  •

    Perfect thanks that worked

    •

So, you got it in QLD? Which store?

  •

I got it from. Woollies at Westfield at Coomera. The one on fox well road also has heaps of machines.

    •

Definitely the $249 machine and not the $169 one?

      •

        The receipt shows
"hash symbol" LOr Barista Premium Coffee Machine $249
        LOR COFFEE OFFER -$249
We were checking to see if the $59.95 milk frother was on sale but for and extra $60 we got a better milk frother with this machine and a heap of coffee capsules.
Edit: noticed the hash symbol changed the formatting of the post.

        •

Can you use the milk frother independent of the unit with another unit? How is it powered?

          • +1 vote

@Bargain434: Powered from the main device. It sits on a circular power plug on a base similar to the style used by cordless jugs. Compared this with our cordless jug base and there was a slight difference making them incompatible otherwise we would have been able to use it independently.

  •

Thanks OP FINALLY MANAGED TO GET ONE

My home is finally having a coffee machine now.
Although not as good as big W past offer of cashback with nespresso ones but I'm okay with this.

  •

My L'or machine from the last deal just died - from using a Bluecup reusable pod in it. Anyone know of a store in Brisbane with this in stock?

  •

Got One From Rockdale, There still have stock.

  •

    2x left at Beenleigh QLD

  •

Got one. About 5 left at Baulkham Hills.

  •

Still around 8 left at Sherwood QLD.

  •

Just was looking up videos on youtube from L'OR Barista ANZ

Man anyone who already has one such machine can you advise a little on descaling ??

    Like
How you know you need to descale
    How often to descale
What item to use with descale ?? L'OR/ Philips says to use this one But i cannot seem to find it on Woolies/Coles/Aldi
But i find online that Coles has one for $4 is it like same stuff ? Like just cheaper to use? Or no must use LOR one which i cannot find online at a grocery store (except amazon, or Philips website)

    • +1 vote

When it needs descaling, 2 of the lights flash when its turned on (those 2 lights are normally off, even when the machine is on).
I just use the Philips descaler and follow the manuals (I got it from Amazon).

      •

It will flash at you when it needs it.
I've used the Coles 4 dollar descaler no problems.

  •

    Dural has some

  •

How is the milk frother in this model powered? Can it be used independently of the unit?

    • +1 vote

Powered from the unit but it can be used standalone without turning the pod machine on

  •

    Anyone got in Canberra?

    •

Woolworths Mawson had 10+ on Tuesday

      •

Thanks. Got one from jerrabomberra, still have 5 left at launch time today. ;)

You need an everday rewards card, scan it at counter when paying for the discount to apply.

7 boxes left at woolworths the district, vic

    All lor cap boxes available.

    40pack, 20 pack, 10 pack.
The 20 pack boxes are espresso and lungo types at 8.80 a box.

You need 14 boxes of the 20 pack or 7 of the 40 pack.

    •

No you don't need a rewards card to get the discount of $249 off the coffee machine

      •

I did self serve at checkout. I was at >$300 and swiped my everyday card and the discount was applied after i swiped…

        •

The discount applies when you tap PAY.

Regardless of if you scan your rewards card or not.

          •

@USER DC: Good to know. I think op should add that info to post.

            •

@w37hsyea: But there is a Pro in scanning your rewards card,

I.E. you can use your REWARDS DOLLARS to pay for the Coffee pods (aka indirectly pay for coffee machine).
I used a lot of my rewards dollars I earned from the eBay gift card promo to pay for this.

Plus also not to forget that the Woolworths can always reprint the receipt in case you lost yours (FOR WARRENTY CLAIMS THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER Directly, (UNLESS YOU WANT A Bloody $0 refund for warranty claims) )

And ofcourse the rewards points you earn, and the standard minimum spend limit increases.

      •

Correct. You don't need a rewards card.
