DESCRIPTION

The new Pro Tech Toolkit is the one thing every DIYer, fixer, hacker, hobbyist, and professional needs to tackle any job.

Every tool in the Pro Tech Toolkit has been re-engineered to be better. From the 64 Bit Driver Kit to the iFixit Opening Picks, every tool is specially designed and selected to maximize your repair capabilities.

At the core of this kit is the iFixit 64 Bit Driver Kit, designed with extensive research into what fastener types are currently used in the consumer electronics industry and which legacy fasteners are still in demand by consumers. From the Apple Watch with its new tiny Tri-Point screws to vintage Nintendo game consoles with gamebit fasteners, the 64 bit kit covers them all with the highest quality CNC machined bits. Even the sturdy case was carefully engineered, having no hinges or latches to break, and features a sorting tray inside the magnetically attached lid.

Only $10 off for me - shipping is still showing as $19.49. I'm in Perth…
How do you get free shipping?
EDIT: Ok I worked it out - you have to add the code in the payment part, then REMOVE the item from cart again and re-add it.

In the checkout page, switch to express shipping then back to standard, that worked for me.

ohhh your solution sounds a lot easier!

    • Thanks a lot you save me a lot of time

  • Cheers OP, been wanting one of these kits for a while now. My $30 Amazon kit has earned its rest in the back of the cupboard.

  • Coupon seems to only work properly on the Pro Tech Tool kit.

Tried a few items with the cart totaling $50+ and only the $10 discount applies.

Tried flipping the shipping from standard to express and then back again?

      • Got it, website is weird like that.

Now, to find the combo for the best price…

  • Thanks op

You can get almost all of those tools in a ~$20 kit from Amazon. I have one (different brand to the ones below) and it looks like it's got everything but the sorting tray and anti-static strap.

iFixit are good build quality and they also advocate for the right to repair movement.

Those tools in your links are rubbish "use once and throw away" tools.

Have you actually bought them and used them?

I have, as well as the type in this deal, and they use the exact same tools, made in the same Chinese factories, but charge a premium for a brand name.

I find it funny that on ozbargain of all places, I get downvoted for offering a cheaper alternative.

        • Yes i have the ones you linked at work and they are terrible and the first flat head i used bent on the first screw. Had to bring my Xiaomi ones to work. Work later bought the iFixit ones and although not top quality Wiha type screw drivers but they crap all over the ones you linked. So no they are not the same quality.

        • They aren't the same.

        • I have no experience with the tools you link to and in general welcome people posting alternatives to consider - just as it is great to see other people's experience with them. (So no neg from me).

However, given the choice I would happily pay a premium for iFixit to support their "right to repair" efforts as well as the information they provide on their website.

  • Very good price compared to BF last year

  • I'd been eyeing this kit off forever until I snapped one up (at full price no doubt) a while back to replace a couple of cheap crappy toolsets with missing bits and broken cases. I love this thing so much and just wish I'd bought it earlier!
