Western Digital WD Red Plus 3.5" 3TB SATA Internal Hard Drive HDD $79 (Was $149) + Delivery or C&C (Auburn, NSW) @ Pcbyte

190

Not sure if pricing error but it is limited to one per customer though had a friend check out with more than 1. Decent Deal as cheapest is $119 from Storm Computers according to staticice!

for those that ordered multiple last night, I have been contacted that they will only honor one per customer. seems like a few members have received the same call

  • Damn that was quick!

  • How quick. Really wanted one.

  • Good drives, been running 4 of these (probably earlier model 3TB sata) in my NAS since 2013. Paid about $180ea back then.

Back in stock don't forget postage of $9.9

  • Grabbed one, thanks OP.

  • Ordered two just been informed they will only honour one. Cancelling

  • What are people using these for, considering they're slower than SSDs? Just backup?

      Linux ISOs. usually…

  • Ordered 2* 3TB Red Plus HDDs, it's currently confirmed, payment done, invoice generated.

Let's see what happens. 7 years ago, I bought a 2TB WD Red (simple, no plus, no pro whatever), it was 135 or something. Nowadays, not only haven't HDDs got cheaper (of course, for non storage - NAS use cases, simply go NVMe SSDs), but also we need to deal with the CMR vs SMR (recording technology) shit.

    • Actually got 2 3TB today… PCByte raised price to 99 after I placed the order…
