Terrible value compared to this deal

Might need to bring your prices down to 'down under' pricing https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/630944

I rarely use the downvote button, but even in the current market, this isn't close to being a deal.

Mate, $3K for a 3070 system? You must still be hung over from last night and accidentally posted the ad on the wrong site by accident… ><

This is not a deal compared to recent posts by other builders

  • +1

    Seems terribly overpriced. Sorry

  • +5

I mean.. GPU prices are crappy.. but comparing TF and this isn't fair.

    8 Core Intel v 6 Core AMD
    240mm AIO vs Wraith
    1TB NVMe vs 240GB
    Keyboard/Mouse Included
    Win10 Included

Changing the TF build to 8 core, 1tb, 240mm AIO, KB/M and Win10 brings it to $3030 too…

    • +3

That maybe so but the deals from BPC are better than this.

    • +1

You forgot this deal is also "VR ready"…

(P.S. I don't think TF deals are that amazing either.)

  • Not even close.

  • +2

I’d pay that price if it was a 3080

    • I don't know personally, the TF has a 6900xt build for less. In the market for a new desktop in the next couple of months & not sure to get something good, like their R5, 3070ti deal, or something great, like the R7, 6900xt for $1k more.

I suppose I'll just keep an eye out until I have the spare cash & see if something strikes me at the time.

      • Unfortunately atm it's more about what you can find rather than what you want/at a good price. I was considering upgrading too but I will do with my 1060 for a while more ( I never went AMD for GPU, but they are well priced and powerful but suffer from optimization/rendering as I understand)

        • +1

Well I've got a 1060 too but it's a laptop so I can't practically upgrade the GPU without shelling out for an external one- I need an entire new setup if I want a desktop again so these prebuilt options aren't entirely terrible right now.

As for AMD- the main issues are raytracing performance- & lack of dlss, I'm not sure what can be done about RT, but FidelityFX should be a fair compromise for dlss. In general the 6700/800/900 XT card will perform very similarly to the 3070/80/90 series but often at a better price, especially the 6900 which outside of raytracing, should usually beat the 3080/ti

Ummmm… Dell had a R11 3080 system for $2700…. This is NOT even close to being a deal

This is an ad not a bargain. Whoever upvoted must've accidentally clicked.

  • This is not a "bargain" even with the inflated GPU pricing

  • +3

No name on the RAM, SSD. At this price you would expect to be given detailed specs.

  • Thanks for posting but ..overpriced.

    Gee these negs are contagious

In a nutshell, this is a joke deal:

Deals that are currently active, are better once you upgrade the CPU (AMD ones to 5900x), SSD, RAM and PSU

    Deals with RTX 3080s

These are all the deals for this month so far or that are still active. Like I said you have to choose higher-end components on the tech fast deals to get to the $3k mark.
