Hi guys
Last cheapest price was with Amazon for $199, noticed Bing Lee is discounting down to this price, seems to be cheapest its ever been?

I have one, unfortunately can't really use as an immediate interface when you have someone ringing the doorbell as the lag between receiving the notification, loading the feed and responding results in the visitor already gone haha

However using it as any other eufy security camera works great 👌 motion tracking, setting up custom motion zones etc works the same

Sorry fixed, was in a rush!

  • Excellent price here…. I got one during the Amazon deal recently, but this is great.

Agree. Lag is too long and by the time you get to it they have gone.

  • Can anyone discuss the lag issue further? I have homebase 1 with cameras and the little IR detectors and I get the notification within a second or two of walking into those areas. What goes wrong with the doorbell?

Also have people got this to work with Homebase 1? I believe it doesnt have the chime but theres potential workarounds for this…?

The issue isn't the lag to notify you (it's actually pretty quick to detect motion just like the eufy cameras). The problem is it takes a while to load the live feed and then there is a fairly significant lag in the 2 way audio which makes it pretty frustrating. That's common with many video doorbells but when combined with the delayed loading of the video stream it means that unless its a visitor who is willing to sit there waiting for you to answer, all the couriers have long gone by the time you answer.

Agree with the lag but it is acceptable. I have had it setup with homebase1 and no issues, got the chimes too. I believe with latest firmware it works fine. I had to pair it by connecting it to the homebase for the first time. Overall happy with it. Cheers.

      • So the eufy chimes will work with the wireless doorbell?

        • They sure do, I have the below available under my homebase settings.

          Default
          Silent
          Beacon
          Chord
          Christmas
          Circuit
          Clock
          Ding
          Hillside
          Presto

          • @vinnyd23: Are you talking about the wifi version that's on th app? May I ask where you got it from? Ive been trying to find but can't seem to find it anywhere. My Homebase isn't in a position where I can hear th chime around the hous. Have tried setting up with home assistant to make the google devices ring but that's unreliable.

            • @zorrt: Yeah mate the wifi version on the app. T8210CW1 is the model number and bought from Bing Lee.

      • Hi Vinny, do you meant the chimes are built into the homebase1 or separate chime added?

        • After software upgrade, homebase1 can play the chime via the app, so nothing else is required.

  • Was about to get this but the lag issue put me off. I am hoping to get a video doorbell on sale this months, can anyone recommend one that is great at being a video doorbell without any issues

  • Good price. $211 at TGGC currently.

I paid $159.06 at supercheap a couple weeks ago when they had the sitewide sale.

As for the lag, I haven't had much of an issue, my phone responds within about 3-4 seconds of the doorbell being pressed and there is a second or so lag in speaking.

this is add on only so need a base, right?

    • I’m unsure I’d like to know this as well, I have Apple HomePod

  • I find that this doorbell has issues detecting people wearing hats and turbans, and won't record their motion. As a result I had to change the settings to detect all motions, and now I get lots of recordings of cars etc.

    • Same issue I have with the eufy cams. Wasn't picking up motion early enough or at all. Changed settings and now I get mostly false positives

  • You can price match (and beat) at other locations like Supercheap Auto.
