Forums seems to suggest MSI GP66 as one of contender for Legion 5 pro (e.g. GP66 matching / better performance but worse screen)
Seeing we won't be smelling Legion 5 Pro anytime soon (not even on the web page anymore), thought the post may be helpful.

Also on eBay if you can do better there (e.g. gift cards):

The Legion 5 Pro and GP66 are two different classes of laptop, but they definitely overlap a fair bit. I would highly recommend checking out Jarrod Tech's reviews on both of these models if you're in the market to buy. The biggest differentiating factors are their weight and portability (this is 1.7kg vs the L5P's 2.5kg), the amazing screen on the L5P, and the fact that this GP66 has a last-gen intel CPU (the newly released 11th-gen intel processors are significantly better - on par with ryzen 5800H / 5900HX depending on your usage)

    • Good point about the weight thanks

    • GP66 is 2.3kg isn't it?

      • Not sure. I got the 1.7kg from the official tech specs page in the product link

  • This or Razor with 3060 at Centrecom?

    • do you mean the 2299 one? This for sure, its an 8core vs 6 core and a 3070 vs a 3060 at only 200 dollars more.

  • How would this compare to a similar spec Legion 7? Last time I checked I think they could reduce those with a 3070 to around $2700.

  • I've been keeping an eye on it for a while and it seems that the MICRO code works only now when it's out of stock…
