I stopped using after seeing this https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=777712433109210

They also say its doesn't do more than the washing powder

also cheaper at aldi (same ingredient) https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/laundry-household/laund…

    • I use the Sard or Coles version of this stuff when I wash my doggo's laundry items, like bed covers. After watching that video, now I'm thinking it's not a great idea after all.

Some people are allergic to it - like many other cleaners or food items. It's easy to show one case of allergy and generalize - makes good TV. But in reality, that doesn't mean everyone has to stop using it.
They say it doesn't do more than washing powder to stop covid - but there are many other bacteria and bugs (e.g. armpit odour) for which these disinfectants can help a lot.

      • I am unsure if it does more than the powder. e.g. https://www.amazon.com.au/Ultimate-Laundry-Detergent-Washing… says on the box that it removes 99.9% of bacteria which is the same claim as this product.

One thing I don't understand is why you are meant to put it in the final rinse. Surely it will do the same thing if you put it in with the powder and then it will reduce any skin irritation risk as it will get rinsed off by the end of the wash.

  • Cheaper than the Canesten laundry rinse posted earlier - for the same ingredient at same concentration. Thanks

  • Avoid. This is an unnecessary product.

    • Maybe for you. You could say the same thing for so many things people purchase. But I've enjoyed this product - helps remove stubborn odours that laundry detergent seems to struggle to get rid of in my activewear. Also gives a nice light eucalyptus scent. To me, seems like a good alternative to fabric softener (which so many people still use but that actually attracts allergens).

    • It does get rid of the sweat smell better than without it. I use it for my active clothing mainly.

I find the Aldi product - so presumably this also - works wonders to deodorize sports wear/gym towels.

I only use it for that and linens that need to be cool washed.
