Just an FYI - voucher expiry is 31 July 2021.

    • Will they extend if you “forgot” about the expiry? My plan expires October :/

      • +1

Black Friday sale will have these. They had them last year.

      • They extended for me twice for 2 weeks but I don't think they will extend until October. That's a bit too long. Maybe until end of August if you ask them nicely

Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEST on 31/07/2021

      Too Soon

  • Will this work for recharges? Existing customer?

    • +3

It's a code for a top up. Works on new or existing customers.

  • damn it, I just got on the 3months…

    • +1

      i just bought a 365 day plan about a month ago -_-

  • Wait so even if we buy one an activate it the other one will expire?

    • Yes, but you can try sell it in the classifieds for half the price or if you have a friend who is also on kogan?

  • Has Kogan reception gotten better in the past year or two? Found it hard to get reception on an S9+ in the inner west.

    • +4

Where I am in Melbourne, kogan reception is far superior to optus. It just completely depends on where you are.

If no one responds (inner west, which city?), could be worth getting a $5 sim to try it out again?

      • Sydney, sorry. Hmm might give it another try. Thanks!

    • +3

For me the reception had gone downhill from when i last used it.
Admittedly the speed in the areas with better reception was much better than my Boost.

Just depends what you value, connectibility vs speed.

Personally Boost's Telstra network trumps this.

    • +1

      Kogan uses Vodafone network..

      • Shame since Voda is apeshit where I am.

    • My reception was dreadful in the inner west and west. My partner is with Optus and his reception is also dreadful in the inner west. I had to switch to Belong with 6 months left on my Kogan plan and it's the only network that's worked for me.

    • nope. still get robovoice and dropped calls. data speed drops when you are downloading files. 100mb file, downloaded 20mb in a few seconds then 5 minutes and still not done. cancelled the download. tried on several sites including one drive and box. I'm in Sydney.

Runs on Vodafone network in case anyone was wondering

    • And not 4G Plus…or VoLTE?

      • +1

No VoLTE is the real killer

        • No VoLTE is that a MVNO or Vodafone limitations?

Where I live I only get 1 or 2 bars of Telstra reception same for Vodafone so need the VoLTE for WFH calls

  • Do these stack and roll on? Can you have more than 12 months credit?

    • +2

no. a new one overrides the old one.

    • +1

Overrides your current plan. I think I remember people asking for partial refund, but I doubt they will do that.

  • I got a similar deal in January. I'm hoping this one comes up again next January!

  • does this have 5G or is it just 4G?

    • Does your device support 5G?

And are you in a 5G area?

  • Any worries about chucking one of these in an IPad?

    • +1

Only the same worry with chucking one of these anywhere; VODAPHONE.

  • Woolworth prepaid plan with 10% discount of a shopping is better for me.

    • can I please ask how you claim your 10%? Can you do this in store or online shopping? Many thanks,

      • +1

For online shopping you get a code, for shopping at the shop, scan your card, and the person behind the registrar will ask you if you want to use your 10%

  • Coverage no good compared to Telstra network

  • Sounds like something I would have told Kogan mobile when I moved my wife from Kogan to Woolworths (the 10% off one shop a month can often make the plan nearly free) only to find Kogan changed ownership of her number to my name (as I bought the voucher) which made it impossible to port, they wanted to charge me $50 to change it back, to which I told them it was their mistake and they can fix at no cost to me, which they did.

    • Same thing with my sister who somehow ported the service to her name, using my ID to verify.

No Change of Ownership ever submitted…

      • Exact same thing happened to me. Had to abandon the number. FU Kogan

        • How did you lose the number?

          Using fake details? :S

  • Thanks, OP !
My wife's plan with Kogan Mobile was expiring in 4 days.
So bought this, and found someone to share the costs online :)

  • Good offer but cannot find someone to share in Perth.
