        Almost…

Nice, these pocket DAB+s have come down in price. But if they make one that includes a MP3 player so that I can carry less gadgets around, I will seriously consider it.

It's just a radio. With this price you can get a decent mobile phone with radio function and not much cheaper than an iPod nano.

Its a digital radio. Im not sure many if any phones on the market offer digital reception.

      • no phone has Digital Radio at present.

  • With a jay one head phones

  • Nice price for this unit; be aware that the front on shot doesn't show this radio's big arse. This might not matter to some people (who don't have radio posterior issues :) ), but just be aware of the size if you're looking to put it in your pocket or run with it.

  • Is this one that much better than the Bush Walker Pocket DAB+ Digital Radio in the other deal?

Is it worth paying $30 more for this or is the sound quality pretty much the same?

    • It looks a little nicer? :)

  • +1

Looks much nicer IMO and comes with a-JAYS One headphones - found this review http://www.macworld.com.au/reviews/a-jays-one-earphones-1685… - $49.95on their own , makes this one have value - can't really see the Bush earphones but they look like 30 cent bog-stanard ones

  • No built in speaker… :( Dealbreaker for me…

  • I'm surprised there is not much love for this deal. If you live close to a bing lee store this is especially good value. Cheapest I could find anywhere was $99 with free shipping. Shipped to Melbourne it is $90 so still $9 cheaper than I could find elsewhere.

    • It's still an emerging technology. The quality and reliability is still doubtful. Most digital radios have low sound quality which defeats the whole purpose. Meanwhile you can stream anything you want over the net, the whole thing is kind of too little too late.

Once you can get a Sony or Panasonic for $30-$40 it will take off, but even then it will only be a blip on the radar.

My biggest concern is that cars are still being sold with analogue radios. Isn't that going to be turned off soon?

  • Isn't there an app for that?
