Okay, this is actually a good deal for this CPU. Does it come with a cooler in the box?
Comes with "Wraith Prism" cooler as listed in the Technical Specifications
Does newegg have local warranty? Have never considered them before as I assume it’s all overseas postage
Says "Ships from United States" by NewEgg. As for warranty, it states:
This item is covered by Newegg.com's International Order Return Policy
Which means, according to this:
..can only be returned for a refund. You must request a return within 30 days of the invoice date
But also does not override local Australian Statutory Rights as acknowledged here
I don't have any personal RMA experience with NewEgg but from what I've read, it's not as hassle-free as you would expect from the likes of Amazon. That said, not many local businesses can even match Amazon for ease when it comes to warranty matters.
The overall performance is on par with 5800X, with a slim edge in multi-tasking.

Tried adding a few different items to get total cost to $650 to use the code but kept getting the message "The promo code requires a minimum purchase amount of eligible items." Also only seeing PayPal and credit card options for payment so not worth the hassle for me

I just checked again and the bpay option is there now but definitely wasn't the other night. It's expired now but would've been a great deal. I couldn't see much else worth buying, even with the 20% off so will keep waiting
