While fighting with Nikon service about them ruining my 18-200, decided I'll grab this meanwhile.

repair after repair, 5 times in a row. All I asked for was to clean it. FairTrading is on them now.

      • Thanks for the warning. I have an 18-300 that is doing well at this point.

      • I've had Nikon clean sensors and lenses before and had no issues. Not to dismiss your experience, but I'm just giving the other side of the coin.

Shoutout to Cameraclinic in Collingwood. They’ve done work on my Nikon gear over the years and I’ve always been happy with them. They’re also an official Nikon repair centre.

  • Didn't last long. $349.85 now.

  • Someone edited my post… it was Sold and shipped by Amazon AU, not No Frills.

  • Who still needs it, Ryda sells refurb for $313

Professional Photographer here. This lens is awful, really stuck in the middle and does nothing excellently. Better to get the 70-300 of you want a long zoom lens, the 18-55 if you want a short zoom lens (very seldom will you want anything in the 50-70 range), or probably the best Nikon DX Lens period the 35mm f1.8 (they can typically be found for like $200 new or like $100 used).

    • Oh, maybe I'll cancel.. Is 18-200 better?
