Seems you have to be an existing optus customer and add/bring a new number to get this though, as I couldn't change my current optus service to it.

You will need to go into your Optus app and access the offer from There. It will then let you Goto the offer.
Happened similar to a del I posted couple week ago where Optus was offering 3 months free on data plans.

You do not need to be an Optus customer to sign up.
I just signed up and haven't been with Optus for about 10yrs now.
Filled in the form, they did their checks, gave me a call this morning for porting consent. I even asked them is this linked to any other account and was told no, it's just my primary account.
eSim downloaded and added in. Number is porting as I type this.
Strangely my promo offer is for 24mths, so I guess they'll give me this pricing for 2yrs which is even better.

The new customer isn't greyed out, it's grey because it's selected. It's the same for me. Just click Add new service below that.

I don’t think this is targeted, I just followed the link provided and updated my Optus prepaid to this deal. Received the confirmation email and have the 50% off for 24 months!

Yeah man that works, I think some telcos have like a weird limit on it like you have to not be with them for 30 days but Afaik optus doesn't - have a crack!
