We have a number of these lining the walls of our garage. Highly recommend them at this price.

    • Mate I can definitely vouch for it ..even though I haven’t assembled mine but it looks a pretty solid shelving unit and for this price it’s a really good Bargain. May get few more .

I got few of these in my garage. These are good quality ones.

  • What are the shelving parts made of (the flat part) is there a mesh underneath?

    • Here is the product description .sorry haven’t opened and assembled mine
Whalen's step beam shelving unit has a protective powder-coated finish and a steel construction. It has a bolt-free design for easy assembly and particle board shelves with a melamine finish, making it ideal for storing all your tools and supplies. This rack can also be assembled into a two piece workbench to customise your storage space.

I will be paying $100 more when shopping online. You reckon thats because of the shipping costs?
If bought in store, do you think this will fit into a sedans trunk?

    • +1

Mate put it this way I got a small hatchback Hyundai Accent and I was able to fit mine in with a bit of work around not in the trunk but in the rear seats … so I don’t think you should have a problem

These are the best shelves at an affordable price on the market right now, especially when it's down to $79.99. That's even more of a bargain!

A few years ago I bought 4 for my garage. My friend loves how sturdy and strong the wooden platforms are and so I bought 3 for her garage. Then another 3 for my parents.

All our garages look highly organised especially when used with storage containers with wheels from Officeworks.

    • may i know if the shelf height is adjustable? i am thinking to put a tool box on it but has to have more head room as it has a cover. thanks!

These are adjustable like any other shelf. It has those holes that you put the end in at the top and then whack them in with a rubber mallet to lock them in place. Kind of like a keyhole shaped hole??

We have actually removed one of the bars at the front of the lower part of the shelf and have enough room (about 80cm clearance) to put a large shop vac and other heavy stuff. It also increases the stability of the whole unit. The shelves are pretty heavy duty so we are pretty comfortable with the setup. We don't put really heavy stuff on the shelves above anyway so it's pretty safe. No problems over many years.

Edit: Sorry, just to be a bit clearer, if you take a look at the first picture from here:

We've removed the 2nd shelf from the bottom and keep the bottom shelf there for stability. From the bottom shelf to the middle shelf there is about 80 cm clearance.
