  • Looks good, but don't by these TUF series have crazy hearing issues?

    • Please elaborate

    • Sorry can you repeat I didn't quite hear you? 😁

    • Disable the turbo boost and it should help a lot

I just got this for $1500 using the eBay plus offer. Includes 3060 max graphics card.

    • Which eBay offer did you use?

      • I think the code is expired now (the one he mentioned below).

  • Code MICRO20

The i5 CPU in the Nitro is a 2nd rate quad core and will be a bottleneck to the 3060 GPU. More games are Optimising for 8 cores, because both Xbox and PS5 have AMD Ryzen CPUs with eight cores and this includes PCs.

  • I have this, performance is really good. But it runs hot AF, cooler design is under specced.
My version has the 54Wh battery and the sata slot. I would have preferred the model with the extra battery. But the upside is this thing now has 3TB of storage (2 x NVMe and 1x data)

Very easy to get at, and upgrade.

    • All the super cheap low build quality laptops have poor thermal solutions. They have to scrape every dollar they can off their BOM.

      • When i bought, it just came out and was priced a lot higher. Comparable models from MSI and Lenovo shortly after had better thermal solutions. I paid $2K at launch, at that price point, cooling should have been better.

Hardware Unboxed roasted it a bit.

  • was cheaper back here

NB: although listed as 8gig of ram.. it came with 16 gig of ram.. but 1 year warranty..

Pretty sure the GPU shares the heat pipe with the CPU hence why they run hot and sound like a jet engine. Fan always audible as a result.

Too expensive, I’m after under $800

  • The screen on these are bloody awful.

  • How does this compare against Lenovo Gaming 3, for general usage (e.g. casual coding, web browsing, typing documents) and light gaming (e.g. Apex Legend)?

$1299 + shipping tonight at 11pm for anyone considering buying this.
