Swap 'n' Go 8.5kg Gas Cylinder $29 (Was $37.50) at 7-Eleven

110

Not sure when this started but Swap’N’Go has bottle 8.5kg exchanges at 7-Eleven are now $29, compared with the previous price of $37.50

(I know the price was $37.50 as the new sign was covering the old price but not very well).

Bunnings are $26.50 but 7-Eleven are oodles more convenient and easier, for the small price difference, most people are better swapping at 7-Eleven. Enjoy!

Isn't it $19 to refill at a gas station?

Or $23 at BCF. Or do a swapsie at Bunnings for $27.

Yep, no bargain here for me, 7/11 is about 50 metres from my local Bunnings and BCF.

Refiils are fine if your bottles are under the 10yr inspection date etc.

But swap n go is great for getting rid of your old expired bottles.

          • @tonyjzx: Yep, even so Bunnings do swap and go cheaper than 7 Eleven

          • @tonyjzx: Commented in error

    • $17-$18

I’m pretty jealous of that. There’s actually nowhere in ACT to get a gas bottle refilled. At all. Swap and go is the only option.

I guess congratulations to 7/11 for finally selling them at the same price as every one else ?

Maybe doing it tough having to pay award wages 🤔

      • Nah I’m fairly certain they’ve been $29 like everyone else for quite some time.

        • They are also selling it at $29 from last many years.

And you save 10cents per litre on fuel for spending $20 in store at coles express

If you have council cleanups in your area
you can often pick up out of date ones from the side of the road or even (old school) rubbish dumps, then take that to swap n go.
But failing that last i checked was Bunnings.

I just go to my local tip, they gladly give me as many as I need.
It costs them money to dispose of them, then go and swap at any swap and go.

Swapped my at Coles yesterday and I had to bring it inside for them to check it was one of theirs as they were not accepting any that were not their brand.

  • It's been $29 for 2 years in QLD.

    • $26.95 in Sydney
