$5 is a good deal for a 30-day sim card with 9 GB of data. Unlimited talk and text in Australia and 300 minute of international call to selected countries.
I contacted the support team to confirm the expiry date of the promotion and activation date. Here's what they said:
The offer expires on the 31/07/2021 and should be activated before 05/08/2021.
i can't find any information on lebara website about the next cycle payment, so i'm assuming it will be on going $5 a month forever ?
The page doesn't seem to have much information. Even not the expiry and activation dates. But I'm pretty sure the recharge will be at normal price.

not sure if this helps - my cycle w lebara happens on 6-7 each month - 5th was earliest and 9th was latest. I have started on the 10th, so the first cycle might have been full, or might have been cut short by just a few days, not sure.
It will be $14.90 for next circle and if you turn on Auto-charge when you active it, you will get 9GB of data for first 6 months.
After that, from 7th month, it will be back to normal, like $14.90 for 3GB of data.
Would've been decent if it wasn't on the Vodafone network.
