1/2 price from $1249 and $224 cheaper than the previous $849 deal. Looks like this is a coordinated promo by Garmin at a bunch of retailers, however some only dropped down to $749 (see below).

Available on Amazon with free delivery, JB Hi-Fi in store or + delivery, or Bing Lee in store or + delivery or their eBay store. Also Kogan + an extra $15 off for first members. HN dropped but only to $748 (Also only down to $749 at Myer & Catch).

Note that this isn't the more expensive solar model which is still $1649.

Thanks to Price Hipster

Edit: JB was just posted, removed from title.

Not bad, but would've preferred it to be the 6X Sapphire!

    • Me too holding money tight and waiting for 6x sapphire

  • Gees prices for Fenix 6/6X have dropped so much … do wonder if a new one is coming out soon…

    • so much speculation on that, odds on favourite for an august september release of Fenix 7, but others suggest component shortages have led to it being released in 2022.

i'm on a fenix 3hr…fairly substantial upgrade when i do. Really want the potential of an OLED screen and LTE as with the other models recently released.

Love it for running, great watches.

      • Agree the new ones will be a great upgrade, regarding the LTE, not sure that'll work in Australia, at least not at launch.

Reviews of the 945 LTE say that Australia not yet included, but hopefully will come soon.
(See DCRainmaker review of 945 LTE - Not sure if I am supposed to post links am kinda new here)

        • Links OK

          • @gimli: Thanks - appreciate the info.

  • isn't the 6xpro same as 6 saphire?

    • They are different.

    • 6x pro is gorilla glass screen, Sapphire is…umm…sapphire. Sapphire on mine hasn't scratched and its a Fenix 3HR, still looks the same

  • Just bought the Venu 2 and waiting for delivery but now wondering if I should've gone for the Fenix 6.

    • Omg same here! My Venu 2 is coming tomorrow. Maybe I should just get both haha!

      • I might as well. Although the 6X Pro is way too big for my wrists :(. Will have to wait for a deal on the 6S or 6.

Bing Lee eBay has an extra 5% off for eBay plus users bringing it down to about $593.
    Edit: might be targeted

    • Sold out - they only had 5 on their eBay store LOL

Genuine question… why was this watch $1249?

For me it is because there isn't anything better for hiking. Better battery life, offline maps, I can upload my planned route and it tells me when I'm off the path. I can use the tracking to geotag my photos.

      • Cheers.
        Offline maps sounds really handy.

  • Bought via Wild earth on eBay. Have been very impressed with it so far. The offline maps and huge array of features and stats have been great.
