Bunnings are doing the 4" Angle Grinder and a 4 Ah battery for $149. The grinder by itself is $99, so you get a battery for $50. Harrisdale in WA had one left in stock. I can't find it in their website anywhere.

Is the actual grinder any good or is it gutless?
Typical of all 18v grinders, gutless compared to 240v
Still good enough to cut off one's fingers.
I'd say the brushless one is much better but it is double the price with a 6Ah battery…probably better off getting the 9Ah version for an extra $30.
I'm a fan of this grinder. I don't find it gutless and I'm a tradie. I have more than half a dozen 4-5" mains powered grinders, and yeah, they're more powerful .. that said, the one that I pull out of my van is always this cordless.
If I were to be welding up a gate or something substantial, I would pull out my mains grinders, but that's more because I want many attachments on the go and not have to change them. If I owned three of these cordless units, I'd just about use them for all tasks except for cut offs.
Don't forget, it says kit means you get a charger too not only battery. Seems like a good deal who want to get into the Ryobi ecosystem
