      Slow down there, bachelor

If you aggressively apply this kind of ruthless logic across the board - and not just to things that disagree with your own personal story - you'll come to understand that most of this website is about superfluous "things" designed to fix 'real' problems (SAFE STRUCTURE – Low to the ground structure gives parents peace of mind about keeping their lil’ monkeys safe) or fix the problems they create through their own marketing (LIL MONKEY APP – The app for mobile and tablet devices encourages kids to get active on their dome climber)

Playgrounds closed during lockdown. I'd pay anything to have had this (if my kid was older). As it was, I had to be very creative to keep him from 1. killing himself in my backyard and 2. not going crazy.
My guess is you don't have kids, and if you do, someone else is probably their main carer.

  • Cheers OP ;)

The important question is what is its maximum weight limit?

    • Holds up to 80kg - No more than 2 children at a time

From the Big W link but not sure when it also says this…

      For Ages 3 - 6 (Children under 25kg)

If they only recommend 2 children at a max of 25kg each, is the safe limit 50kg?

      • +1

You can put a 30kg tabletop on it.

Imagine this thing full of spider web.

I highly doubt it could be the heaven of spider if it is kept outdoor

    • +4

What spider world do you live in? If this is out on the lawn it will be fine.

    • +4

I have one and it is indeed resident to a small civilisation of spiders. But the occasional hose with the pressure washer sort out the webs.

This looks like the sort of thing I built in Pontifex (bridge builder) … that comes spectacularly crashing down :P

and can be used for roleplaying

Look at me! I'm a monkey!

Had one from ALDI since years ago; kid loved it. The plastic does eventually degrade after a couple of years outside, so be prepared for it to snap unexpectedly eventually. Also good as a moveable veggie garden structure for climbers or bird netting

      Nobody asked you Victor

      • +2

It's ok. I appreciated your joke

    • Thank you. The bird netting is all I needed to convince my missus that we need this.

moveable veggie garden structure for climbers or bird netting

Can also hang vertical garden around it.

That's how I convinced myself to keep going carrying a steel version of the dome 3kms home (free on Marketplace). An old lady commented: You must really love your kids when I explained what it was used for.

Initially for the kids; later for Dad.

  • Bought this one recently for my kids - https://www.harveynorman.com.au/action-6ft-climbing-dome.htm…

Similar price but can handle some weight due to build material.

As robust as an apartment complex in Florida

    • So all good as long as we don't have a climate sceptic in parliament house?

    • It’s surprisingly strong. Had ours a couple years and it’s very sturdy.

    • too soon.
