  • The evil eBay machine tries once again to con Joe average seller into "absorbing" freight costs.

So you pay listing fees, feature fees, selling fees, paypal fees and you throw in freight, as thanks for a few days ebay allows you to save a couple of cents in FVF (still pay 50%) - sorry this deal smells like eBay public relations trying to cover up for the many and varied mistakes and abuses of power of late.

eBay has a determination to drive professional sellers off their site - cripple the small sellers with their ever increasing fees, changing rules and general disregard for sellers.

    • yea, that's true. As you can see now, there are a lot less domestic items listed on Ebay now than a year ago. Again, Ebay is the enemy of itself and will eventually pay the price it deserves. However, paypal contributes 40% (and still going) of Ebay's revenue so I guess they don't care that much about the core auction business.

  • This is not bargain at all..

Considering in some countries eBay don't charge listing fees and commission fees at all !! (eg, ebay singapore)

and considering the tiny profit you made then will be eaten up by exorbitant paypal fees anyway ..

    go away feebay..

  • Moar profit for ebay

    less savings

  • Whoa…Ebay's pissing lot's of people off I see…hehehe…

I agree with all of you. Especially fchis "there are a lot less domestic items listed on Ebay now than a year ago". It's mainly businesses now.

I personally don't sell much on ebay. Only once in a blue moon when I need to get rid of stuff (which surprisingly is bought by others)hehe. But thought that I'll submit this in case there are people who want to list "unwanted" items… (Better some money than chucking stuff away) ;)

Hope I didn't offend anyone. I'm not an advocate for ebay :)

    • i agree with you audz, ebay is a good place to tell things if you don't want it.

perhaps if you were a business, this would not be the way to go, but if you have old video games like I do, that i want to get sold, ebay is pretty good, as there are lots of people that look through there.

and I get better resale value from ebay than by trading it into JB Hifi or EB Games.
