Soap is much cheaper and works a lot better, but you also need water and something to dry your hands with.

      nah depends

    • +2

they put pockets in pants to dry hands.

    • people dry their hands?

  • Has been $2 at my local store for about 2 weeks.

  • What’s the smell like?

    • +3

not as bad at scotts brand

    • +3

I think this is one of the better smelling gel sanitisers

    • +1

For a non specially scented one, i really like the smell.

      • Thanks - I'm going to Woolies soon and it says it's in stock so I think I'll grab some.

    Made in China
    Just like COVID19 !

    • -4

      clever name though !

    • +8

      The bottle made in China,
      The pump made in China.
      The alcohol made in China.
About the $1 it costs to make it in China, by cheap labour. Then imported by the biggest conglomerate you know, to make 1500% markup.

China makes $1. The big corporate makes $14. (no considering shipping, taxes, gst)

      That's right evil china.

      Boo hoo.

      • +3

that's right, how they are forcing the Uighurs in literal concentration camps and are forced to shave there head, get raped by officers and much more. yes evil china.

        • -5

          What's this noise,?

China was made rich by west and now complaining

        • +6

Not that I'm advocating what is happening in Xinjiang or anything, but I sure hope you're as forward and righteous about white Europeans massacring the indigenous Australians and are still trying their darndest to sweep that shit under the rug as well.

          • +1

@Munki: yep definitely am. was just replying to the guy who's trying to say china is 'not evil'

  • +2

    How was this $15!

    • No, Karen.

  • Think there is plenty of stock of sanitiser around now, should hope they weren't trying to charge $15 for it… I mean Spudshed had pallet loads of it they were flogging for 10c for 500ml.

  • +2

This smells good. I have been using it since 2020. No complaint at all at this price.

  • Damn that's pretty cheap

(profanity) woolworth is annoying. won't let me select pickup and only direct to boot from my local woolworths. what's with that? direct to boot has a $30 minimum like wtf.

    • Pick up also has a $30 minimum…?

    • Direct to boot - they bring to your car.
Pick up - you have to go to their store front and pick up.

    • $30 minimum is easy compared to Coles crappy $50

  • There's a oversupply of sanitizer as every man and his dog started making/importing it last year to make a quick buck.

  • +5

If it's made in China, Don't Buy It.
There's plenty of Australian made "Scott's" around at similar prices.
    Don't buy from a country that's threatening us !!

  • +1

A whole bunch of companies turned to producing ethanol for sanitizer during the pandemic which caused a massive oversupply in the global ethanol market. $2 is the new price and it was never really worth $15, companies were just gouging panicked peepers during the early days of COVID.

    • +2

Yea, mostly due to distilleries cause they couldn't sell drinking alcohol so they switched to sanitizer. Wish there was a global oversupply of isopropyl cause you can't really use ethanol for cleaning electronics and lcd screens.

      • Yeah I didn’t sell my isopropyl bottle in the shed when the prices went ballistic because I was like shit what am I gonna use lol

    • i think people realised hand sanitzer wasn't as effective as masks

  • i still have a big bottle and a half of aldi's left haha

but for 2 bucks why not..?

  • -1

these are really really bad for your skin

    • I hear covid does some pretty nasty things too :)

  • +1

My woolies didn't have the mark down labelled but scanned at $2 at the checkout.

    • ditto my local Woolies.

    • go back and ask for a refund, prices should reflect store prices

      • why, so they can pay $13 more?!

  • +1

Ordered online and it arrived - pretty good for 2 bucks!! Thanks OP

  • Well I'll be darned, back to 15?? >:{

  • +1

Picked two up at my local. No tag next to the item which is probably why there was so many available. Scanned at $2 ea.

  • now showing unavailable online nearby, for me at least

picked up my order last week, they tried to "substitute" it - mistakenly for handwash and also skimped 150ml total

wasted like 20 minutes with them then to get a $2 refund on the automated phone for their screw up !
