  • I don't have to do exercises for 21 consecutive days right?
Or do I? but have 18 of them with 130bpm on avg and the other 3 days can just be slow exercises?

    • Yes you can just do 18 out of the 21 days. You don't need anything for the other 3 days, but as most have said, probably not worth the risk if a couple end up being invalid.

    Finally got my watch today!

Did some rowing machine and apparently my heart rate hit 199.. Not sure how accurate that is - was tough but nothing crazy.

Also had it randomly drop to 92 in the middle of it whilst I was doing the exact same rowing throughout.

  • +1

Hit 18 days of exercise today on Day 19 (took a day off). I'm going to do the last 2 days though for insurance. The website specified to DM then after 21 days, so I'll message them in a couple days.

  • Hey guys, silly question but is it possible to drag MP3 files onto the wear OS watch to listen to offline music while doing the HIIT?

    • +1

there is, navmusic, you can download files across, and then use that app to play the music.

tried it once, (didn't try it with the workout app running), and then uninstalled it.
has some wierd remote thing that is constantly running on your phone, and i think it didn't help with battery on the watch or phone.

Haven't needed offline music yet, but will wait till youtube music becomes available on wearOS.

Let me know if you find a clean solution.

      • I don't think YouTube music will be available until we get the WearOS 3 update circa 2H2022

        • oh u serious? it's just an app isn't it?

          • @quasio: Yeah, but I'm guessing it won't be compatible with wearOS 2. I could be wrong.

      • Navmusic worked for me! Yes I could listen to my mp3 files as I did the HIIT challenge, which is great as I was able to do it on a ~$100 Xiaomi fitness watch for years before this. Google would have to really crappy for that basic offline music function to be lost in 2021.

All who have finished, keep us updated on the "refund"

  • +2

My watch started vibrating before and after the rest period yesterday - didn't do that on day 1. Didn't notice an update on my watch and the app hasn't updated since the 28/7 - not sure how that's changed - anyone else notice/know what's going on?

I'm not complaining, it definitely helps!

  • Hi all, I just received the ticwatch today. Was trying to update the watch as there’s no HIIT option, but I can’t even connect to the wifi. Both the watch and my iPhone are connected via Bluetooth, but the watch couldn’t connect to wifi. Tried connecting via mobile data, failed too. Has been restarting phone and reboot watch, uninstall and install the apps, still not working.

    • the watch couldn’t connect to wifi

My watch updated fine without connecting to wifi. It was connected to my phone via bluetooth and my phone was connected to wifi. No other connections were required.

      • I tried, but it says waiting for WiFi connection to update.

        • i've never physically done anything for watch to connect to wifi, it was automatic through the phone i believe.

but to update go to settings->system->about->system updates
This will get you the HIIT

    • Have they responded whether your successful yet?
I have got the same communication but once i provided my email id and order number i have yet to hear a confirmation of success or not.

Its been a day since and i'm wondering whether i should slog it out again for another day of exercise as extra buffer in case they say no go?

      • +1

I didn't receive a response per se following my message, however, I did receive a 'like' for my post to them (indicating it has been received and read).

        • Same, infact i went ahead and did 21 check-ins anyways.
Its been 3 days since last comms from mobvoi.
I may actually ask them again tomorrow.

      • +1

I assumed it could take a couple of weeks for them to finalise/get back to you.

Just updating my thread 23/08/21 - confirming that I received a full refund via Paypal (my initial payment method) today following from my earlier claim (above - 06/08/21).

      • Thanks for letting us know. Congrats!

  • Watches touchscreen stopped working today after a few days of use

Completed my 21/21 days to have back up in case any days were invalid for whatever reason. Messaged them with all my details and received the automated response seen above. My challenge was verified earlier on too and they had responded that it was confirmed. Will let others know how long it takes to get a refund.

    • My challenge was verified earlier on too and they had responded that it was confirmed

To be clear, are you referring to the step where we need to DM them before/during the challenge?

      • +1

        Correct

      • …shit i didnt DM them in the begining

  • +5

Finished workout 19 from 21 days today. Fingers crossed for a pain free cashback process.

  • got the generic refund email, seems like it will take a month

    • ooo, i haven't received anything,
when did you apply for the refund?

      • +1

you need to DM them on twitter

  • +1

"Any Tweet that starts with an “@” will not show up in your Profile"

anyone else did this? start a tweet with @mobvoi and it shows on tweets and replies but not on profile lol

it freaked me out because i thought i missed a day, only did it once on day 4, after that i started naming the days

    • I've been tagging them at the end of the post, but if you are tagging them at the start, just add a . before the user tag - ".@mobvoi". It should show up on your main profile like that.

  • Anyone else got stung by a ~$7 international transaction fee by their credit card? Pretty miffed about it

  • So anyone got any suggested apps to use with the watch?
(SIdenote - i bought my wife an iwatch SE - it is soooo much thinner and smaller then the ticwatch. No idea why the tic is so chunky - doesnt exactly DO much)

  • It's the 19th now, anyone heard an update on their refund?

    • +4

Received my refund via Paypal today

      • Nice! I received the same generic refund response you did but I have yet to get my refund.
Perhaps it's because I paid via card.

Did you post this the same day you heard back from them?

        • Yup

          • @InspironN5110: Were any of your activities deemed to be invalid? I'm slightly worried because I injured myself after my 18th workout and wasn't able to do the extra 3 days for a safety buffer.

            • +1

@CBrads4: They didn't reply to my message after I sent in my details for the refund. So I can't say.

Anyone find a good replacement arm band?

    • No but the current band is really uncomfortable for long time use

      • Ordered this from Aliexpress on 25 July: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002605093850.html?spm=a2…
Obviously it hasn't arrived yet but will keep you posted when it does. The clip on the default strap really digs into the clip after a while if you wear the band tight.

        • +1

I ordered one off aliexpress and it arrived today. SO much more comfortable. Will post a link later.
