Bundle this with a 12V Inverter and you'd be on a winner. A true OzBargainer will BYO to the Cinema. Fresh out of the Car is better.

How do I get the Cinema Candybar smell though? Is it a special MSG salt?

    • hahahah…. "a special MSG salt" ?

man, its gotta be for sure… the better something tastes, the worse it is for you :).

  • Can I use this machine to make sweet popcorn ? (no salt)

    • Hi bonus999, i don't think you can sweeten it up during the cooking process, just oil or butter.

    • I guess there is the risk of the sugar burning and sticking to the heating element

I have this machine at home. I cbb using it. It needs a big clean up after use. Nothing is better than microwaved popcorn IMO.

    • Cheers, didn't even think of that. I hate cleaning out stuff like that.

  • does this have a butter compartment?
cant pour melted butter, have tried it before with my $10 machine and just makes the popcorn soggy!

    • Hi huntress_love. The oil goes into the metal container with the corn kernels, this heats up and cooks the popcorn. So the popcorn has a nice coat on it when it's finished.

I've got a similar one but it almost never gets used because of the cleanup after. I just use microwave popcorn most of the time.

  • could always set up shop near the cinema!? half price popcorn!

  • is this the same popcorn maker someone posted he bought a tv bundled with this and he tried to sell the popcorn maker back to binglee for $25 and binglee said no?

    • Yes and that's me. I knew it would be too annoying to use.

  • It looks just like how I used to make it when I was a kid. In a regular pot, with regular oil/butter and a 69c bag of kernels.

  • Ive got a smaller machine… paid $29 at HN.
Never gets used because of the hassle of getting it out and putting it back in.
Cleanup is not hard. Its good for parties but for one or two people, go the microwave popcorns.

  • Unique design but not a bargain compared to the original retro design i.e. a pot and lid.

  • Can we negotiate to have some free pop corn kernels to go with the deal?
