Seems like a decent price for the V8 absolute model. May not be the best value when compared to the dreame vacuums but the after purchase support might be worth it for some.

You linked to a origin model which doesn't have the fluffy roller.

Bought for $389.40 few years ago at TGG…

Can't believe prices haven't dropped since then

    • Same here! Bought one for my mother in law at that high 300 range. Can't believe prices have only gone the other way since.

Personally I bought the dreame v10. Better value for money in my eyes!

  • Just so you know this specific model is only available through Dyson website and not sold to any other stores.
The one you bought from tgg probably the animal version. This one comes with attachments for hard flooring (timber) soft roller

  • if im remembering right i paid 459 from Dyson directly for this like 2yrs ago

    • And the neg's surely because every Ozbargainer's got a time machine to access that deal..

      • +1

The neg is because it's not a great price for an old piece of kit (5yrs +)…. Its been cheaper a bunch of times since I got mine…

        • You sure it was for the V8 absolute and not the V8 animal? Checked the ozbargain deal history as well and have not seen it drop below $500.

Either way thought negs are meant for when "The deal is not the cheapest available". Not sure that applies when the deal was available 2 years ago.

          • @Easygoingjoe: I have it in the cupboard so yup i'm sure… it was only slightly more than the animal on their site, I remember thinking why not and bought it. I didnt find it through Ozbargain as didnt used to use this site much back then.

Username does not check out, why are you so upset about the neg? the neg is for this is not a deal… look below last week the v10 animal was $660 from TGG, is that recent enough in your eyes? To me that says LOADS! I almost bought it as the V8 is fine but defo not in the same league as the v10. Just because you dont like an opinion or viewpoint doesnt mean you have to do anything about it but also doesnt mean you have to agree with it.

            • @quikstix: Whoa - easy there mate, don't bust a fuse on this!

Just saying it's really not much value comparing a deal that may have been available 2 years ago when looking at the best available price in recent times.

Also the V10 below for $660 is still for the V10 animal. Not the absolute.

              • @Easygoingjoe: Comparing a V8 absolute to a V10 animal is not even a comparison my dude 🤣🤣🤣

'Dyson Week' they are calling it

Few other offers available on the site
Dyson Outsize Absolute Extra - Bonus battery and hepa filter, can also get 10% off for existing owners, emailed offer
Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Extra - Bonus battery and hepa filter - 10% code did NOT work here, looks to be only the Outsize

Haircare items there are also some bonus/items gift available

Heck, the V10 was only $660 last week: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/637003

As for comparing with a Xiaomi vacuum, if it dies and their support sucks, you can just buy a second one and still come out in front.

    • And this is why this post is not a good deal
