WINWIN

Hey Oz Bargain Community,

We're keen to kick off the new financial year with our best foot forward. This fresh coffee deal aims for a win-win scenario, you get an awesome discount with extensive delivery dispatch flexibility and we get a revenue bump for a strong kick start to this financial year :)

We're offering you a 52% discount off our wonderful much loved Moments to Memories Blend 1kg only $18.19 (normally $37.88), 2kg only $36.36 (normally $75.76), 4kg only $72.73 (normally $151.52), 1kg or 500g Bag Options, Flat Rate Shipping $7.99 Courier's Please $8.99 Australia Post @ Lime Blue Coffee. Please note 500g packaging with the discount will cost an additional $3 per kg due to the extra cost of the bag, label and additional packing time. We plan to keep this deal live until 26/07/2021, unless we reach timely dispatch capacity before then as we don't want you waiting too long for the good stuff to arrive!

Some helpful info:
-To make the most of this super discount you're welcome to place multiple orders (one dispatch per order) with delayed dispatch requests any weekday up to the end of December 2021.
-The "cart" page is where you can request delayed dispatch via a comment in the "special instructions for seller" box
-If you select paypal express checkout on the product page you'll likely skip the order notes section, which is on the cart page (as mentioned above), you can always email us before your coffee is dispatched with a delayed dispatch request
-We roast on demand, for example if you request a delayed dispatch for September then your order will be freshly roasted likely 24-48 business hours before dispatch, it will not be roasted in July and stored on a shelf until we send it out in September
-The discount price will show up after the "cart" stage of the ordering process.
-The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4*1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag
-Complimentary, optional gift message available on bag/s, simply type your desired message in the "special instructions for seller" box in the online cart

Which is your dark roast for strong coffee?

    • +2 votes

Nice question to kick things off :)

Just so we're on the same page, do you mean more of a "full bodied chocolate coffee flavour" as opposed to a "lighter fruity/floral coffee?"

      • +12 votes

p.s. All our coffees are relatively similar in roast profile, we roast medium/Omni. If you're after a coffee with a lot of bitterness and usually buy shinny beans with visible coffee oils on the outside of the beans, we may not be the right fit for you. However, if you're after a delicious, sweet, smooth coffee with more of a full bodied chocolate flavour as opposed to a lighter fruity/floral flavour, then hopefully our Moments to Memories Blend should be a winner for you :)

      • +1 vote

        Yes, thanks

    • +1 vote

darker roasting does not make coffee stronger…
See LimeBlueCoffee's comment - a darker roast will change the flavour profile of your coffee.
Depending on the coffee, a darker roast can give your coffee more flavours, like: caramel, toast, chocolate, tobacco, hazelnut, toffee. But this doesn't translate to more caffeine in your coffee.

    When's the next roast date?

    • +2 votes

Thanks for reaching out, nice question!

Tomorrow is our next planned session :)

p.s. we update the top banner on our site with "Fresh Coffee Next Roasted…"

I think this is a great deal, especially with the delayed dispatch. Have bought this blend before so will buy it again for a couple of weeks time so I can get through what I already have.

      •

That fantastic to hear, thanks for the feedback!

@Ulysses31: I can promise that we will do a deal for our Decaf this year, but it's still in the planning stages, so I don't know what the exact deal will be yet or when we'll launch it :)

    •

Same here, and by the way their decaf is delicious.

Hi OP, I'd like to order the ground espresso. Do you grind for specific brew method eg stove top? If so would I specify this in the 'Special Instructions for seller' field?
    Thanks in advance.

    • +1 vote

Hey @Fullbrewz great question, we sure do!

Nailed it, simply write "Stovetop grind" in the "Special Instructions for Seller" area and we'll take care of the rest :)

  • +1 vote

Great store! Purchased from them over the past 1 year. Great price and fresh coffee!

How does this compare with the Brazil Peaberry Single Origin? I bought a bunch of them for my church and they loved it compared to the previous blends we purchased.

    • +1 vote

      Awesome question :)

Thank you so much for the orders you placed with us for yourself and your community, your support really does make a positive difference to the team!!!

To help me narrow down a helpful answer for you, were the previous blends from Lime Blue Coffee (us) or other Roasters?

      •

It was from you guys although it seems I basically need to order around each lockdown. Maybe we should stop with the coffee. :D

  • +1 vote

Bought 1kg! Supporting locals VIC businesses during lockdown!

Got your last Brazil single origin bean. Enjoying very much. Ordered this too with delayed shipping while I finish off that. Great that you do delayed shipping. Keep up good work and would love another single origin deal down the track. Cheers.

Thank you. Ordered 1kg for mid-September dispatch. Love that you guys offer delayed dispatch.

I'll give you a go as:

    1) you give an alternate to Couriers Please
    2) you indicate the beans used
    3) your normal price doesn't look inflated for such coffee beans
    4) you appear to take roast date and delivery more seriously than some roasters we've had on OzB.
    5) delayed delivery offered (even though I'll be out of beans soon)

    • +4 votes

      1) you give an alternate to Couriers Please

My god are these guys terrible…

      • +3 votes

        Couriers Please = Please No

Thanks OP, took a gamble and pulled the trigger. Proof is in the cup

  •

Haven't enjoyed the Peaberry (it may be a little burnt), much preferred earlier orders like the South Central blend, how does this blend compare?

    • +1 vote

I've had the Peaberry and M2M blend and M2M is definitely my preference. I think the Peru SO was my fav. Hard to recall, I've ordered so many beans from Lime Blue now :)

    • +1 vote

Thanks for sharing the helpful feedback! The Brazil Peaberry is a quite unique coffee due to the combination of low growing altitude, small surface area and natural processed. It shouldn't have tasted burnt, however I fully appreciate everyone interprets flavour uniquely. Did you have the chance to read the email I sent out with brewing tips specially for the Brazil Peaberry?

With regard to comparing Moments with our South Central, Moments is far closer in flavour to our South Central than any other coffee we roast, main difference you'll find is Moments is a bit less fruity and a bit more chocolaty than the South Central. Please be sure to let me know if you have any more questions :)

  •

high, what is your recommended espresso reciepe for the memories blend?

  • +1 vote

Well I ordered again for Mid Sept after my initial end of July run. Should be good!

Done and dusted….2kg to get through this current patch!

    • +2 votes

      I'm in Sydney - I got 4 kg.

      • +3 votes

You might actually need 40kg going off of today's numbers.

        •

Also looking at buying a cow.

  •

Anything suitable for filter? Syphon, to be more specific.

    • +1 vote

      Nice question!

I haven't had a Syphon in a little while, I should jump back on it soon, I had a Moments Pour Over today and loved it (hopefully that doesn't sound too biased haha). All our coffees are Omni roasted to suit espresso and filter. Do you enjoy your coffee when it's chocolaty, fruity/floral or a bit of both?

      •

Thanks. I drink everything. My palate is probably not that refined to differentiate on that level.

  • +2 votes

Keen to try this out (and support a local business). Stay safe all.

  •

Thanks ordered 2kg - Looking forward to some nice beans.

Would be nice to delay 1kg for later, I didn't know if possible (probably have to pay extra shipping).

  •

I want to order, but tearing me away from my alternating Seven Seeds and Mecca blends is a tall order. Although you are substantially cheaper…

  •

Does anyone know how it tastes

    •

recently drinking grounds of alexandria, very much like store bought coffee.

If it ain’t roasted in Victoria. It’s fake Coffee.
Just bought some. See how we go

  • +1 vote

What’s the recommended recipe for Moments to Memories Blend?

    •

      Awesome question!

      Black Espresso Guide 1 : 2 Ratio = 20 In : 40 Out : 27 Seconds
      Milk Based Guide 1 : 1 Ratio = 20 In : 20 Out : 18 Seconds
Stovetop = 7g per Cup Size
      Filter Guide 1 : 16.67 Ratio = 6g Coffee : Per 100g Water

p.s. we include our recommended recipes on every bag…and there's a joke on each bag too :)

  • +1 vote

    Thank you. Ordered 1kg.

Will order more if I like it.

    • +1 vote

Well…. decided to order another 2 kg with delayed delivery end of August.

      Thank you OP.

  • +1 vote

Ground espresso or ground filter, which is better for the aeropress?

    • +3 votes

Nice questions, either can work with the AeroPress, but I'd highly recommend "ground filter" :)

      • +1 vote

Awesome. Will be getting 2kg, thanks!

  • +1 vote

Thanks OP, got 4kg. At a similar price to woolies coffee this is a steal

  •

Have never tried it but thinking of ordering 4 kgs - any chance I will regret it without having tried a smaller qty first? I am a milk based coffee guy with an espresso machine

    •

How much do you go through? If you arent going through 4kg a month, do timed delivery so you always get reasonably fresh beans.

      •

About 4 weeks per kg. That was my other question-will I need to place 4x1kg orders for 4 timed dispatches or can it be done in a single 4kg order

        • +2 votes

Separate. You'll have to pay for delivery each time

  • +1 vote

Ordered some the other day. Rolling the dice big here!

    • +1 vote

Good coffee, I've just ordered up until November (I go through 1kg a week) alternating weeks so I can buy different beans every second week.

  • +1 vote

How does this go for black based coffees?

    •

      Nice question, thanks for asking!

From a technical extraction perspective our Moments to Memories blend works really well enjoyed as a black based coffee, for espresso and filter methods.

Without sounding too biased Moments to Memories is delicious black and is tremendous value for money coffee (although true, it does sound like an extremely biased comment haha)! That said, different strokes different folks, so the only way you'll truly know if it's a winner for you is to try it :)

      • +1 vote

Thank you for the response 🙂

  • +1 vote

Wish I could give this extra up votes!

  • +1 vote

Thanks, bought 3kg, looking forward to try new coffee beans.

Just like to thank you guys for a beautiful coffee. Well done and all of you peeps out there, please support local businesses. In this day and age, they deserve all the help they can get.

Our coffee arrived today I just made a cup using our French press. IT'S DELICIOUS!!!! Not too overpowering, very well rounded and smooth. I'm so happy. Thank you!

  •

Anyone had delivery issues with Lime Blue's courier - Courier's Please? Ordered last Sunday and delivery has been pushed out each day… Now out of beans :(

    • +1 vote

Dam it, that's so frustrating for me to see, so I can only imagine how you feel!!!

Thank you for letting us know, I understand lockdown restrictions have put delivery companies under the pump, but hopefully I can sort this out for you in speedy fashion.

I've just sent you a DM so I can get your order detail and investigate further for you :)

      • +1 vote

As is always the way, mention a delay and it turns up the next day. Thanks for the followup Tom!

    • +2 votes

Couriers Please is ordinary at the best of times. Pay a extra dollar next time and use Austpost

  • +1 vote

Received from interstate a week post roast to Greater Sydney despite lockdown. That's all I ask - why do so many others struggle?

Also appreciated the recommended brew ratios. Thanks.

  • +1 vote

Just chiming in here after ordering their Moments to memories blend; awesome beans at an awesome price. Thanks guys!

    •

If via espresso machine, what sort of brew ratio and timing are you doing? I've tried espresso and lattes at the respective recipes above, getting good extractions but espresso's borderline undrinkable, 150 mL lattes are ok but weak (and I'm no coffee snob). Really need to play around with temperature now to see if it suits something different than other medium roasts I use if the above recipes aren't in error.
