SIM Only 40GB Unlimited Mobile Calls & Text Plan $15/Month for The First 6 Months ($29.99/Month after) - No Lock-In @ iiNet

160

Looks to be the same deal found here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/617020

Pretty good if you're a bit of a heavier data user. If you happen to have an iinet internet account the $15 gives you 80Gb a month

Edit: As mentioned in the comments iiNet are now using the Vodafone network

  • Currently paying 18 a month for 50GB with circles.life but this is a pretty close second.

Seems the real deal is if you're already with iinet though.

Seems they use Vodafone network - to save anyone else (like me) who needs to know - from looking.

  • So just to be clear, this is a pre-paid plan, but we can leave anytime. Even after ONE month of use, correct?

    • +1

Correct, minimum charge is $15 so 1 month

  • What happens when one uses there allocated data, well go over 40gb of data usage, does it stop data or will speed slow down or worse one pays for every gb over

Just reading the Critical Information Summary. Excess data is charged at $10/2gb or service is disconnected until sufficient funds are available. I know Optus prepaid is much the same, I doubt any prepaid service wouldn't cut your data off once it's exceeded

      • can you recharge like optus with a voucher?

      • Depends, usually with prepaid it's set too just stop your data once you run out of it, with Postpaid like Optus Postpaid you have choices to either to have it automatically charge funds for blocks of data or choice to have speed capped I.e 1.5Mbps

Worrying "as first choice above" were some postpaid MVNOs just automatically start charging funds for more data and only have that choice

Best and safest is to have the capped speed option plus you'll get more data out of the plan 👍😁

  • Currently on this, good price but extremely patchy cellular service here in Sydney and beyond. Amaysim was amazing, will likely go back to them after the 6 months. Worth a try at $15/month because YMMV

  • Looking to sign up to this plan with IInet in the next few days, will be porting out of Circles to them ($22/50Gb).
    Anyone have/had issues with them?
