You need to complete registration and they will send details through. From the last deal, I had trouble getting access to the stuff. I forgot about it and after a few months reached out to them again. Now have access and about to do the workshop (which is where they now give you the complimentary exam voucher). Will confirm after I do the workshop in a few weeks.

  • Is it worth doing?

Depends, if you are trying to enter in the field of IT then I would say not a bad start. If you're already in IT and wish to upgrade then there are a lot of other good options than this.
But free is free you can simply register obtain a coupon code get the study material and see it for yourself.

If you have > 0 IT jerb on your CV, no. Its pure scrub tier stuff to get you into helldesk, thats it.

    • +2

Yeah I wouldn't actively do it.
My helpdesk job preferred list was Comptia A+,MCP, CCNA, ITIL etc.

      • +1

Yeah ITIL is a big buzz word that floats around the service provider world, go for ITILV4 foundation if you're bothered, would probably look better than CompTIA ITF

  • Honestly I don't think this certificate would be worth much on a CV. If you need the knowledge, sure. But the A+ cert is probably a better start career-wise.
