If you prefer buying from Amazon Australia for $44.33 instead of third-party stores.

Definitely the safer option, especially for only 53 cents more

    • called office works, pricematch/pricebeat at officeworks won't work, their online order team is closed today and tomorrow and instore team cannot do price-beat, ordered one from amazon australia for $39.49 (used my $5 credit from prev $100 amazon giftcard get $5 amzon credit)

  • Is this decent for a Nintendo Switch?

    https://h2testw.en.lo4d.com/windows

I found it to have only 14.5gb usable space meaning the 1st 16gb is usable the rest will all be corrupted becareful when buying from third party's

Purchased from auocitaau on amazon couldnt even post comment on purchase was fully removed

I would only be purchasing flash memory cards if they are sold and shipped by Amazon, high chance of fakes from any 3rd party sellers

  • $43.99 SanDisk 256GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - 120MB/s, C10, U1, Full HD, A1, Micro SD Card - SDSQUA4-256G-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08GY8NHF2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…

  • Be careful buying SD cards from Ebay/Amazon.

    • what happened

      • Read further up. The same scumbags as Aliexpress who fake-format them to read a higher capacity than they really are so they can charge a heap more. When you copy files over you get an error saying not enough room on the drive.

I bought a thumbdrive on Aliexpress in the shape of a bullet for my son to take files to and from school. I didn't care if it was only 1GB, I just wanted it formatted correctly/honestly so files didn't fail partway through a transfer. So I told the seller that and he confirmed it really was the higher GB and hadn't been reformatted. Received it and it was fake-formatted too. The ar53hol3z can't help themselves. They have to lie even when they don't need to!

Moral: Don't buy this kind of thing from third party sellers, official stores only.

ebay/amazon should have never allowed people with China IPs/bank accounts onto US/Australia/EU/etc sites. It drives real sellers of genuine stuff out of business then you can't get quality stuff anymore. e.g. I have a $5 ebay voucher. I wanted to buy a genuine Samsung S-Pen for an older Note Pro 12.2 tablet. The scum on ebay say it's genuine, but they have dozens of them in stock listed as 'opened without box'. Yeah sure you do - as if. They're going to be the same fake ones as sold on Aliexpress for a few $ each. They put Australia Post icons in their thumbnails to make them look genuine/reliable. ebay doesn't care because 80% or more of people won't question it, and the 20%+ who can tell the difference will either get a refund or get denied, and ebay won't cancel the seller's account for selling fakes like they used to, leaving them to rip off the next buyer.

  • Is Shopping Square a legit seller (no fakes)? They have it for $41.98 with $0 shipping (to me/regional).

    • A lot of people have had problems with them, and they're not in Australia, despite what their website claims.

Have a read of the forum: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/forum/shoppingsquare.com.au

      • Thanks. That last link in that thread… lol. Wish I hadn't posted their price now. But they came up in an ozbargain search so not entirely my fault.

    • wait till monday and call officeworks to pricebeat and click & collect

      • Anyone hit up Officeworks and do a click and collect??

  • Last time I walked into Officeworks they accused me of stealing a mask and they made a scene about it… They didn't apologise but continued to say how much they hated wearing a mask… And how shitty their day was.
So I'm done with officeworks. Absolute insert profanity

    • Years ago I was in an Officeworks store which had an overzealous security guy.
He followed me around the store. At one point he stood about about two feet away from me while I stopped to look at things.
There was no one else in the store.
