1. You can either get a new number or port your existing mobile number (as long as it is not an existing amaysim mobile number)
2. Enter your Groupon amaysim voucher code in the ''add a promo code'' section before pressing ''checkout'' button
3. When selecting a payment method, you have the option of either Credit/Debit card or PayPal (please note you will have to verify your ID in your ''my amaysim'' account before your service will be activated). PayPal option will redirect you to the PayPal site to complete details

    Anyone getting this error when trying to redeem? I have 3 times, credit card and paypal option - keep getting the same error.

    • I was getting error 500 when trying to complete payment. What worked for me was adding the payment method (card) to your account before going through the checkout process. YMMV.

  • Bear in mind that my biggest annoyance with Amaysim is that they won't allow conferencing or put my current call on hold and talk to the incoming new call.

    Is it basically saying six 30-days SIM cards for new customers?
    (I don't need port in. I just need new SIM and numbers)

    • 1 SIM that comes with 6 x 30-day prepaid recharge (i.e. 180 days with entitlements refreshed every 30 days)

      • Let's not fall for their marketing trick and confuse 28 days with 30 because after 1 year it adds another month.

    • its 6x 28 days recharge and one sim only. so its 168 days in total. They count from the day when the sim is shipped if its a new number and sim its pre-activated.

      • can get the number of days reset upon first use even if the sim arrives pre-activated

        You first redeem it on their website then the will send you a sim card
        You go online to activate it after you receive it in your letter box
        The 6x28 days kicks in from the day you activate, before 31 Aug

      • If you do not verify your id after purchase then the sim card will not come pre-activated.

            @davidl2: The SIM card will be delivered to you regardless of whether you have verified your ID or not. Just prior to when you want to start using the SIM card, verify your ID via the online account and then it will be good to go.

I used to be with amaysim with my current ph which is with boost as my ph number is already listed on amaysim is there away l can port this out? thought this would have happened when left and went too boost and l don’t want too change number if l buy a cheap SIM card can l put this deal through on it then do a change of ph on account so l can keep current ph #

  • What is going on with Amaysim? ??

    It seems that Optus, the new owner, is trying to cannabilize this once good Telco and kill it off, once and for all.

    1) You can't verify ID anymore - you need to take a screenshot of your ID and send it to them by email. They told me, by live chat, that verification hasn't been working FOR WEEKS!

    2) You can't replace a SIM ("sim swap") unless it's in the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. It then takes OVERNIGHT, as someone in the Philippines is obviously doing it manually:

    3) Their Customer Services, now based in the Philippines (used to be Sydney), now finishes at 6pm every day. Used to be 10pm.

    Anyone received there sim yet after ordering ?

    • Do you get an email after redeeming the Groupon voucher on amaysim website. I redeemed it a couple of hours ago and no email confirmation, nothing. I did login to my amaysim account and it says sim is on the way but no email acknowledging anything.

        • Got the email 24hrs after redeeming the coupon. Amaysim has gone down the tubes since it was bought out. Everything takes forever now and customer service sucks.

      No, you redeem the Groupon code on Amaysim to order SIM pack before 22 Aug so that it arrives later. Reread the deal or my post with redemption link.

    Will it be safe to activate sim on 31st August? Or does before 31st mean I have to activate by 30th?

    • I've activated mine today, ported from Optus and it took under 30mins to activate =)

      Note they do state 1-3 days to port…

    I received the SIM card today and activated the service. The SIM card was ordered back on 17/08.
    Amaysim Customer Service (via Online Chat) was able to apply a $12 credit to cover the 6th renewal.
    I suppose you may be able to delay your SIM activation date if you wanted to, then contact customer service to request for a credit to cover 6 renewals.

      • The chatbot I dealt with was not so helpful. They claimed the offer started from the time of ordering, but said the last renewal can be requested back.

        Based on the Terms and Conditions of Groupon, the promo starts on the order date. But no worries, please contact us back on your last renewal, we will add it for free to honor the 6th renewal promo.
