    Finally eBay gift card :)

  • So that means 5 per flybuys. Should be no rush.

  • Doesn't specify $50 ebay. Hope $30 ebay card can also score the bonus.

    • +3

I've only seen 50/100 denominations stocked?

  • Are the Coles Gift Mastercards worth it?

    • Answer: No. 1000 points is only $5.

  • +2

There's a $5 purchase fee for the cards. So this is only useful if you want a gift card for some reason.

    • +1

Yes like the person who posted recently needing to meet a spend limit for CC. This will be good for them although the 10% off deal would be even better as that one resulted in approx 7% off on a $250 card.

    • +2

There's a $5 purchase fee for the cards.

Only for the Coles Gift Mastercards ($50 or $100).

  • Check your Comm bank rewards as well!
    I got $10 off $100 spend

    • Check the terms of CBA rewards: excludes gift cards — this CBA rewards option is a targeted because mine is $20 for $200 spend…

      • +2

Yup, Comm bank rewards are always targeted.
And the terms say it excludes gift cards, but I have done it many times and always got the cash back from Comm bank. Don't think they have a way to tell what is what

  • Does $100 eBay GC get 2000 points or 1000?

    • +1

      1000

  • is it worth risking to trying to buy a smaller denomination card?
    I'll need some Netflix ones.

    • +1

It should work fine, pretty much the same offer was run here and was confirmed as eligible on the $20 cards.

    • Does this mean 5 x $20 netflix cards will mean 5 x 1000 points for a total of 5000 points? Does it have to be 5 separate receipts as well?

      • +1

Going by previous promotions yes 5*20 netflix shld give 5000 points. same receipt is fine.

  • Use the HSBC debit card to pay with paywave to get an additional 2% off

    • HSBC says "Earn 2% cashback² when you tap and pay with payWave, Apple Pay or Google Pay™ for purchases under $100". Does anyone know if a purchase of $100 get 2% cash back as well?

      • +2

The post is for $50 ebay cards and $20 netflix cards.

You just have to split the payment at checkout. I've done this before, just split it into $99 payments. HSBC do not have an automated system to detect these multiple taps in a short time at the same store transactions, unlike ING when they had cashback before.

I've paid an over $2000 bill at the post office in $99 increments. The guy was not happy haha.

        • Thank you for the tips.

          • +1

@baituey25: Keep in mind for these large purchases, the store has every right to refuse to do this for you, so be nice about it.

At Coles/Woolworths, you can do this yourself at the self-checkout.

      • I can confirm $100 does not.

  • Use bank of China debit card to pay with tap, get 6% cash back (until 30/8), note no Apple Pay need physical card.

    But lockdown :(

  • Limit of 5 gift cards per customer.

can it be in same receipt or have to be separate?

    • Same receipt is fine

    • It’s better to buy separate for your flybuys bonus offers. Your minimum spend for x points in the future will be lower if you buy 5x50, rather than 1x250.

      • +1

It’s better to buy separate for your flybuys bonus offers.

Maybe when we're not in lockdown and need to get in and get out of the supermarket asap

        • +2

Why go at all for gift cards?

          • @grasstown: Maybe that's why there's still 200 cases a day

            • @kerfuffle: I’d prefer 200 cases of Delta a day than lockdowns and covid measures. Governments need to balance the expert health advice of lockdowns to contain spread, against the expert advice on suicides, depression, economy etc.

  • I just brought 5 eBay cards. But doesn't show anything on the docket. Is it normal? Points will show up later ?

    • Every time there's this type of offer, someone's bound to ask this question.

The points will appear in your flybuys account the following evening after your qualifying purchase.

  • Is it ok to go 5 X $50 Ebay and 5 X $20 Netflixs for 10K pts ?

    • +1

No, you will only get 5K points. You can mix the card type but only get max 5K points.

      • Tks.

  • A bit confused, does this work on the Connoisseur ice cream as well apart from gift cards?

    • No, they’re two separate deals in the one post

  • +2

I probably should have posted this earlier, but better late than never…

    • Any purchase of third-party gift cards at Coles supermarkets also earns base Flybuys points; therefore, the minimum number of Flybuys points you earn as part of this deal is actually 1020 points per gift card (up to 5 gift cards). Of course, if you purchase a higher denomination card (e.g. $50), you will get more base Flybuys points.

    • Any purchase of any gift cards at Coles supermarkets will not count towards any bonus Flybuys points offers other than the one mentioned in this deal. In other words, targeted Flybuys offers at Coles (e.g. spend $x in one transaction to earn y000 points) always exclude any purchase of any gift cards.

    • Scanning your Flybuys card when purchasing third-party gift cards at Coles will usually cause the minimum spend on targeted Flybuys bonus points offers to go up, because that's how Flybuys has set up their algorithm for determining the minimum spend requirement. For example, after scanning my gift card for three bonus points gift card deals at Coles in the last few months, my minimum spend requirement has gone from $60 to $190. I personally don’t care about this myself, as I find that I spend on average $15 per week at Coles…

    • Purchases of any gift cards do not earn any Picnicware credits (not that anyone really cares about that promotion, but someone is bound to ask that question).

  • Would the Netflix gift card work on one of those Turkey Netflix account hack?

    • +1

Pretty obvious an Australian gift card is not going to work on a Turkish account.

  • Has anyone received the 1000 fb bonus points on $20 Netflix gift card

    • +8

Yes, received 5000 points on 5x$20 cards (purchased in single transaction).

      • +2

        Sweet. Thanks for sharing.

      • +1

Awesome, thanks for letting us know!
