    In my opinion, yes. Has ethernet ports on the back of all the units (and all the units can all be interchangeable, ie, there isn't a main node as such, they are all physically the same).

      if I have one (master) node connected to WAN ethernet, does the other (slave) node provide LAN ethernet? (despite them only being connected to each other wirelessly) - essentially I'd like to use this to provide a wireless patch between 2 rooms (I'm unable to run ethernet cables)

        Yes. This is what I do with the M9 Plus (earlier version) to connect my Xbox and Philips Hue Bridge. Connect both to the slaves/nodes with an ethernet cable.

    X68 performs better with Wi-Fi 6 and is tri-band. Nest is Wi-Fi 5 dual-band.
