    Amaysim have very poor service (atleast in the eastern melb suburbs) especially when compared to boost mobile 🙁!

      And they were prosecuted for misleading and deceptive conduct by ACCC. They were ordered to repay the money so the fantastic corporate it is, sent the money to the public trustee who makes you jump through hoops. They knew where your bank account, phone number and address is but wanted their payback right to the end. Good luck with them and keep an eye on your bank account.

    I've heard it's a nightmare switching between Optus MVNOs.. would it be wise to go Catch -> Amaysim or port out to Kogan etc first and then over to Amaysim?

      Yes, at least 4 hrs for switch within Optus network.

      In recent times porting times between Optus MVNOs has dramatically improved. I used to never port straight from one Optus MVNO to another but I recently transferred from Amaysim to Belong and also from Belong to Amaysim and both times the transfers took less than 30 minutes.

      So there should be no need now to port to Kogan before porting to Amaysim.

    if I want to max out activation by 31 Aug, should I redeem closer to 22nd Aug deadline? or can I redeem now and wait until 31st Aug to activate?

    Read in some other post that they use the redeemed date as start of the 1st 28 day cycle.

      Considering 22 Aug and 31 Aug mentioned by this deal, it seems allowing 9 days for delivery. In other words, 4 Aug and 13 Aug could be another pattern.

        Yep. Got a work SIM with heaps of data (halfway through my month and I've used 1.5GB out of 40GB).

        So for my personal SIM I only need the bare minimum to make a handful of phone calls each month.

          You will have to activate and port existing number at same time (or get a new one). There is no such thing for delay porting.

        Ive just activated the voucher code. It asks for ur address at this stage - and its 2-7 days. So better activate it so it gets sent to u if u dont wanna wait around !

      fine print on the link states excess data is charged at $10 per 1GB. Hence, not capped. Not for the faint-hearted, especially when a child is involved

          Don't turn off auto recharge that will stop it from auto renewing every 28 days just change payment to BPAY / Vouchers

    I use the 28 day/2GB plan permanently for $10 every 28 days.

    If you have been an Amaysim customer for a while, they will offer it to you for $10 per renewal as opposed to $12.

    I don't use much data since I'm too cheap to pay for Spotify and I don't use social media much. I imagine that's what people use mobile data for and hence use more than 2GB per month.

    Unlimited data at home is where all my streaming occurs. $85 per month on 100/40 plan with landline/unlimited phone calls with Optus.
