    Depends on the stack

  • All I can say is that Sony Australia Promotions & Marketing Team is the worst in the country. They make eBay Customer Support seems like Apple Customer Service in comparison.
Fair enough when they deal with hundreds of cash backs, some might fall through the crack, but it's how they deal with issues that counts. In my case I bought directly from their online store, date and proof of purchase are in their system so there should not be any issue right? Wrong. They still stuffed up!
EBay CS at least acknowledges you (sometimes eBay took as long as 3 months but they get resolved). With Sony I am going nowhere in the last 9 months. Sony Promotions team don't respond to you, even their own front line Customer Service team said they are not getting a response, saying they will "escalate to management". I heard no more after that so I guess "management" is just as disinterested. They think people will buy Sony products regardless because of the brand, so they have no motivation to solve customer issues.

    • I've actually found eBay cs pretty decent. Can normally resolve issues over chat.

  • No JB - Bit sucky there as I just bought one of these from JB.

    • Looks like JB are doing gift cards instead.
      $600, $400, $250 respectively.

  • Does anyone know if I buy a brand new a80J from sony ebay store using 10% off ebay voucher, will sony still honour the $200 cashback?

Good Guys has 10% off the A80J right now. How likely will Sony knockback the Cashback?

    Point 5 in their T&Cs

To be eligible to claim, individuals must purchase either outright or with retailer finance an Eligible Product from a participating Sony Australia authorised dealer during the Purchase Period and the purchase must not have been made under any other offer or discount provided by a participating Sony Australia authorised dealer (“Qualifying Purchase”).

    • Exactly my question. Hard to say. Might be worth asking via their website

    • Sony just processed my cashback with 10% off from Good Guys.

Tax invoice from GG doesn't have any mention of discount.
