    There are some limited usecases where a M.2 thumb drive or a student computer or office and web browsing machine upgrade this size and price could be useful.
    Instead of paying $128 for a Samsung T5 250GB Portable SSD you can get this for $39 and a $21 M.2 SSD USB 3.1 Enclosure and have a faster $60 M.2 240GB SSD.

      In all those limited use cases, I'd rather spend a little extra and get much more capacity.

      I purchased a 512GB m2 SSD for $50 recently: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/632870

      $10 more for double the capacity and free delivery.
