then you sit to eat lunch in the communal kitchen at work and take your mask off. or you work with people exempt from wearing masks and nothing matters

    • +1

But how will I look rich?

and feel good without actually doing anything real?

  • Each side of fabric looks ok but way the patterns converge in the middle is yucky

  • +5

I looked at the masks and ended up with an amazing looking pairs of orange shoes and two pairs sock.

LOL, this is why I don't look at nice things.

    Thanks OP!

    Fashion over protection

      $450! 🤯 There having a laugh.. surely

      • yes, yes they are.

    • Thanks for sharing, I ordered a 100 pack. i would never take them off.. too expensive to lose them.

  • How to spot another ozbargainer?!

  • +2

Op - this isn't against you, so thanks for the deal however……….

These masks are as good as walking around with your nose under your sloppy joe jumper.
You know the reaction you did in school when your friend farted?

What you need to look at is the 3M Protection standard being, P1, P2, GP1, GP2, N95.

**N95 ** Reduces exposure to harmful airborne particles <100 micron eg. Bacillus anthracis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, mould, SARS/Influenza virus.

Beyond that, the best protection would be PPE Personal Protective Equipment which is used around hazmat conditions

Most of the masks people walking around with , including that 3-ply rubbish from China is just as good as walking around with a motorbike bandana.

IF this Government had any clue about protection in a global pandemic, it would actually enforce fines for people wearing $2 masks which are a waste of time.

    • -2

Oooh so scientific! Let’s make it a police issue! Let’s also impose FINES upon the silly people not being sufficiently compliant with your mask fetish!

      • You're the type of person that when someone points out something ahead of you, you look behind and say, "where"?

I indeed feel sorry for people like you, just don't see the context of things.

        • -1

          Great takedown sport!

    • I read a study today that claimed fabric masks still reduce particles by 60%. The cheap disposable ones only do 65%. This of course assumes correct usage and changing every two hours

      • +1

I always throw away my Paul Smith Face Masks that cost $32 every 2 hours.

        • Disposable ones get wet easily and need changing. Japanese people have been wearing them for years. Surely there are studies that back them

I get loads of Paul Smith stuff. It's top notch stylish gear. It's also good quality which means it's a little expensive. A lot of people on here (as we can see from the comments) don't quite get that. That's why I've never posted a Paul Smith deal on here. They'd rather wear kmart and then moan when it fades after 2 washes.

    • +1

i quite like that they're not as well known here. means i don't really have to fight off other ozbargainers when Iconic, DJ or End have a sale :p

  • Ordered, my 12 month old bonds ones are getting a bit blergh. Not as perfect as the medical strength ones, but I'm just trying to get by in the 6th lockdown

    • +2

I feel for ya bro, I'm getting tired of it on the goldie, we haven't had a community transmission case in 12 months yet we're in our 3rd lockdown.. it's annoying.. can't imagine what it must be like to to 6 of them and some months at at time…

Keep your head up and stay strong. Peace.

  • +2

$32 to look like a bell end. I could do that for free…

  • So what's wrong with buying Australian Made masks? Support the local industry.

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • -3

Getting a medical exemption from a bulk billed doctor is much cheaper.

  • Got mine today. Didn’t realise they would be shipped from overseas. They are quite thick, feels like having a pillow stuck on your face. Why did I purchase these again?

    • yeah they always ship from the UK by fedex, even though they have stores in Sydney and Melbourne.

      • -1

Had I known that, I would not have purchased them. It's one thing to spend your own money on a gimmick like this (pretty harmless) but it also negatively impacts the environment (as FedEx means air transport + courier service)…
