Nespresso Vertuo Next Premium Bundle (Rich Brown) $199 ($99 After $100 Cashback Redemption) @ The Good Guys

160

That's $94.48 after another $4.52 cashback from Cashrewards, which I reckon is a good price for the Vertuo Premium Bundle.

Details about $100 Redemption in this deal

Note that it is also available from their eBay store. Normally, they provide a standard receipt that can be used for redemption. For me it forces $10 shipping, but it suits people who can't pick up local stock and have an eBay coupon up their sleeve.

As I walked out the store after picking it up, a very nice nespresso rep asked whether I want to take up the promo offer of free coffee credit. New accounts can get $20 credit or 50 capsules plus a mug for $30 if I recall correctly. In my case, being an existing account, she could offer 5 sleeves of coffee for $25.

It has 2 years warranty.

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2021.

  • Does this take coffee beans or requires capsules?

Capsules - but they only take the specific Vertuo capsules which you can only get direct from Nespresso. They are different to the "classic" capsules that you can get at supermarkets (ie. Starbucks brand ones)

    • No.. Uses the "new" Vertuo - meaning you can only get your capsules from Nespresso..

  • Costco members got it for $20 back in March : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/614259

    • Not the premium model, and not the bundle. And cost of time travel not included.

      • Fair enough, I stand corrected.

  • None available in Sydney…

      Order from eBay?

  • Are these machines any good? Is the coffee nice?

      • The reviews on the Nespresso site are very bad for this unit

        https://www.nespresso.com/au/en/order/machines/vertuo/vertuo…

        • Not sure why, had one at work for a few years and I have one now at home for over a year no issues. I think people expect it to work every time without fail and ignore basic maintenance of the machine…

          • @Goliathus: A number of reviews are claiming the unit leaks and some are complaining about how noisey it is through to it triggering the safety switch

These reviews are for this machine. Have you got the same machine?

@Goliathus: How have you had it at work for a few years, wasnt the Vertuo Next machine only released here less then 12 months ago?

      • I loved this video

        A bit biased IMO.

Yes, you can make coffee in different ways, but the use case for nespresso is about convenience and saving time. I think he missed that crucial point. Saying you could create the foam with a blender is both obvious and useless. The reason they use centrifugal force is because the 18 bar pump of the old system sounds like a jackhammer. If they get the same result with less noise (and he actually admits the taste is the same), then that's an improvement.

I bet that this would be the guy to tell the ICT vendor "We don't need new corporate systems - we can do everything we need in spreadsheets; you are just trying to lock us into your technology".

To be fair, the people watching James Hoffmann probably aren't trying to be convinced to buy a Nespresso machine :)

I've had a different model which was free on a 12 month subscription plan from Nespresso. Really happy with it and the coffee. Yes the pods are expensive but they make a cup that is probably 2-3 times the size of a normal Nespresso pod or Kfee, Cafitaly, etc pod. You do have to try a lot of different pods to find your favourite though. My everyday favourite is the Mexico single origin though time to time I like the caramel, hazelnut or vanilla pods. The decaf pod is also good for a decaf.
I like a big coffee so this is perfect. I use a 230ml pod and top up with milk to fill my 450ml Bodum glass.

Have previously had/still have ALDI machine, Saeco MAP/Cafitaly bravista machine, Nespresso U machine, Vittoria machine (the worst so avoid). This is my favourite due to the cup size.

  • Ebay store needs $15 postage lol

  • Is there 100$ cash back if I buy from eBay store?

    • In the past, they always provided a good guys receipt when buying from eBay, so I suspect so. Just can't guarantee it. But they must be able to provide a tax invoice.

      • Thanks for your information! Do I only need the tax invoice number to register cash back?

        • When making claim you need to upload tax invoice and serial number which should be on the box.

  • From a previous coffee machine purchase the Good Guys ebay was specifically excluded from the cashback offer. Only informed when trying to claim. I would go direct to be safe.

    • In the past, The Good Guys would include a standard shop tax invoice with eBay purchases, such that it would be impossible for anyone to tell that it didn't come from their store. I don't know about now, but I suspect they still would, because otherwise how would people deal with warranties and returns? The terms and conditions do not say that any particular eBay store is excluded, except their own (nespresso ebay store).

      • You’re correct. I thought so too as I did click n collect and received a proper invoice. It may have been because it was a cashback offered on Nespresso through TGG. But when I asked and they looked up the order no they said “oh this is through eBay. Yeah that’s excluded” but this looks like it’s directly through Nespresso so hopefully shouldn’t have issues.

  • There is a promotion for the lor coffee machine, if u spend $150 in coffe pods the machine is free. Can anyone please comment on how good or not good this Machine is.

    • +1

The Lor machine is different and takes different pods. If you want the ability to have choice in brands of pods then the Lor machine is the way to go. But if you don't mind paying for Nespresso genuine pods then Vertuo is good because it can make LARGE coffees. All other machines make tiny coffees and you'd have to use 3 pods to make one at a similar size and strength to the Vertuo large pods. So ends up costing potentially more.

      • Thank you for the explanation, but is the actual lor machine good quality…..
As the promotion gets you a Machine for free.
