    felix is better tbh

    • +2

Yeah, not bad. $35/mth unlimited data https://felixmobile.com.au/.
But I only need $8/mth 38GB for a few months on my second phone.

      • +1

Felix is slower than circles. Especially if you hotspot. I've tried both.

        • for me is was faster

    • -2

      Vodafone. Meh.

      • -1

        Telstra meh

      • +4

Voda has been very good for me. Better than Optus and Telstra for me at work. At home everything is equal.
        YRMV of course.

      • Seems they use the Optus n\w https://www.circles.life/au/about/

        • You're correct Ben! At Circles.Life, you get access to the full Optus Mobile Network. We are powered by the Optus 4G Plus network which is available to 97.3% of the Australian population. You can check the location/address type of coverage in this link on our website below:
          https://www.circles.life/au/network-coverage-map/

          • +1

@CirclesLifeAU: Does that include VoLTE and wifi calling?

            • +1

@Ben Kenobi: We currently don't support VoLTE and Wifi calling as well as Voicemail. Those are something that our team is still working on getting with the help of our partner Optus. We'll surely update you as soon as we have an estimated date/time on when will those features be added on our service.

  • So I can get 130gb for $28?

    • Yes, for the first 12 months. I think. But not sure about the first month per their terms

      • I'm already a customer, is it possible to jump on this deal somehow?

        • Not sure myself. May be there are experts here kind enough to answer that.

        • I had an upgrade option appear in the app recently, jumped on a week ago. Not sure if targeted etc

        • Hey there, mate! This deal is actually only available for new customers. Nothing to worry though since as soon as we came up with new deals that you can take advantage of, we'll make sure you'll be aware of it so stay tuned!

      • The 50GBSPECIAL promocode is actually supposed to be for 20GB plan only (20GB + 30GB Bonus data = 50GB for $18). The month of activation (First month) won't be getting the discount ($10) since the first month plan charge is pro-rated and the discount will only be applied on the next month but with the bonus data, it will still be applied in full 30GB. Should you have other concern/questions, please feel free to contact us through our live chat support channels. Cheers

  • Stay away they will haunt you even if you leave.

    • ok I'll bite… why?

      • It's a pain in the arse to leave and port out if that's what he means?

        • +7

Done it several times with no problems - if you understand this is a month to month plan, not the usual prepaid service found in many other SIM Deals.

You need to notify Circles about a week ahead to terminate your service at end of month. From past experience, you can set termination months ahead.

It's not a prepaid plan where you can leave just by porting out. Some were stung with another month bill because they did not understand that. Porting alone just before end of month did not terminate the next month of service.

So notify you are ending service & port out before end of month.

Read current t&c & helpful comments in previous Deals.

          • +1

@Rather be Travelling: Feel like this is an important note to put in all circles.life deals. I used to call my current telco whenever I was planning to port out but for the last couple of years, the industry standard is just to notify your future telco when you wanted to port. This is defs not standard practice for telcos.

            • @Deseret: Yes, that's correct and that's how we do it as well. Just make sure that the port will be completed before the current month ends to avoid being billed for the next month. This is what we normally recommend to customers that are planning to port out.

          • +1

@Rather be Travelling: The $8 for 38GB per month seems to be a good plan if you have a 1-year commitment. They wont charge you excess if they abide by their promo terms. 38GB combined with primary SIM data allowance may be enough for a certain section of people, even as a NBN replacement.

            • @djoz: 1-year commitment? I reckon you can leave anytime? The 12-month period is the time where the promo will be applied, so if you choose to stay for the whole year, it will be $96.

              • @hawkeye93: What I meant is - this is not a plan for sim-hopping, which may people here do. Like for Eg $14.90 Kogan / $20 Belong / $15 Catch and so on.

Yes, you may leave anytime, just note that the first bill is a minimum of two months (first month pro-rated + second month full).

I had taken this deal and paid $1 overall and got 100 GB (first month) + 100 GB (second month). I was able to get this free, since the offer was "waiver of 2 months" and I activated exactly on 1st of the Month to get both months in full. The waiver was $38 (first month) + $38 (second month), so a total bill of $0. The only thing paid was the initial $1 SIM Activation charge.

That said, it was a different story that Circles.Life didnt honour the ($38 + $38) waiver as promised, but gave only $38 waiver. And I, along with many others had to fight it out for 10 days, for them to reverse these charges. See the negvotes on the deal. Hence, it is a hassle if you're looking for a short term plan. The longer you stay, it is better, and convenient. Like I said, $8 for 38GB per month is the cheapest currently (if you dont consider sim hopping every quarter)

          • @Rather be Travelling: Thanks for clearing it out for us mate! You're correct. We're under postpaid service where in you'll be billed each month. For porting out, you just have to contact your new provider and request for the transfer and they will be the one to coordinate it with us and your number will automatically be terminated by the end of that specific month. Note: You'll have to process the transfer before the current month ends to make sure you won't be billed for the following month. Billing cycle with us starts on the 1st day of each month so as soon as the 1st day of the month started, you will already be billed for the whole month.

        • +1

I had no issues porting out from them.

      • +2

I used their service initially when they had the 3 months free offer. I terminated my service after 3 months with their online chat service. After a few months i noticed they were still billing me and those mails went straight to my junk folder. In short after cancelling and being confirmed multiple times, i was still getting those emails and notice of due payment a month or two from memory. I will stay away from them no matter what.

    • Never happened with my use of Circles over several Deals.
But read the t&c carefully & read comments in previous Deals to avoid issues.

    this title is blooddy confusing…

    • +2

Need a damn PhD to understand that mumbo jumbo.

    • +1

I still don't get what the stuff in brackets is..

      • +6

        Yes, a bit confusing…
        It's (Normal price)

All 3 plans have 30GB Bonus data per month
And reduced price over normal price

        eg 38GB $8/M (8GB/ $18)
        8GB + 30GB costs $8/Mth in this Deal
(plan normally has only 8GB & costs $18/Mth)

    • +1

Sorry, trying to fit all info in the Title.. Just added new comment on the description.
Please don't neg me. This is just my 3rd post here. Still a newbie

  • does anyone know if these plans do data sharing?

    • G'day mate! As of this moment, our service doesn't have any data sharing feature yet. Its something that our team is still looking at getting and as of today, we still don't have any estimated date/time yet on when we'll be getting it but as soon as we do, we'll make sure you'll be aware of it!

  • +1

    Beware, credit check.

    • Pretty normal - It's a month to month post paid plan. As discussed in previous Deals.

    • -1

Hey mate! Not to worry, this is part of our process when applying for a line. Credit checks are done to verify a customer's ability to make monthly bill payments when applying for services. We'd love to give you more infromation about this so please click this link for more information: https://circlesaustraliasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/article…

$8 dollars for 38GB seem pretty good, if anytime I want to leave is there any exit fee?

    • +1

It said "All our plans can be cancelled anytime without any cancellation fees."

      • Yes, you are correct mate. Thank you for that. Circles.Life does not have a lock-in contract. You can request the termination at any time but the termination can only be scheduled and will take effect at the end of the month.

  • how does Circles.life compared to Kogan mobile? I'm considering jumping on their Flex 365

  • +1

They charged $11 for activate SIM card, that's bad!

    • +1

Charged me $1 (a while back)

Sure you weren't charged an additional $10 fee for first month (or pro rata bill in first month by activating part way into month)?

    • Hey there mate! We actually don't have any activation fee. Please do contact us through our live chat support channels for further assistance. We'll be waiting for your message to clear this out. Cheers

  • I've churned 3x (2 phones) with circles and haven't had an issue

  • Do we need to activate sim card straight away? My existing phone plan finishes up in November.

    • Hey PrinceK! Thank you for showing your interests in our service. As soon as you sign up, you will have 30 days from your sign up date to activate your sim card. Should you have other questions, you can simply go to our FAQs page: https://circlesaustraliasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

From past experience… (it may have changed)
Read current t&c as it changes each offer!

Month to Month Billing Starts on 1st of month.

Joining part way through month results in a pro rata bill for first month.
And discount is only applied from first full month of service!

Monthly Billing Ends at end of month.
If you don't give advance notice to terminate service at end of month, a new month will be charged.

Worked well for me, by thoroughly reading Deal t&c & following good advice in comments. Previous Deals were very cheap, but some didn't follow the t&c / comments & had problems.

  • Anyone know if Woolworths still sell Circles SIM cards?

    • Yes, they do. Can see them in the SIM Cards section, hanging around with several other operators.

  • I'm guessing there are extra charges when you go over your data allowance?

    • +1

G'day mate! Yes, you're correct. We're under postpaid service and as soon as you used up all your data allowance for the month, you'll be charge with payg rate ($0.01/MB). Rest assured that complete notifications will be sent to you via text, email and app notification regarding your data usage.

  • Would not use this circles.life company even if its $0 like in the past, they ruin the credit history

    • Should not be a problem if you abide by Circles t&c for the offer (usually explained in comments in Deals).
It's not a prepaid service, but a month to month plan, with a credit check.

However, some did not give advance notification they were terminating service at end of month - as required, incurred the following month charge & refused to pay (as some commented). Circles did try to recover that amount. Some disputed this charge with TIO. A lot of unnecessary hassle!

Failure to pay a bill can show up in credit history.

Easier just to give notice you're leaving at end of month, at least a week ahead. It's pretty easy to do. And port out if needed before service terminates on last day of month.

It is different to the usual prepaid Deals, where porting out or not auto-renewing terminates billing.

Best to stick with prepaid SIM Deals if people don't want to understand this different month to month billing system, or read useful comments to avoid hassles.

Worked fine for me over a few offers. I read others comments to avoid issues. No unexpected bills or effect on credit history.

  • Do you know if you can request for a port in for a future month?

    • Yes, that's totally fine! As long as you'll be activating your sim card within 30 days from your sign up date, you'll still be able to get the deal that you signed up for. You may also reach out via our live chat channel should you need immediate assistance or if there are any further questions: https://www.circles.life/au/help/. Alternatively, the answer you are looking for can also be found in our FAQs: https://circlesaustraliasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

      • Hi rep, any chance to bring back this deal?

        • Hey there mate! We currently don't have any updates yet on when this deal would be back but as soon as we do, we'll make sure you'll be aware of it so stay tuned!

  • +1

Prepaying a whole year is so much more convenient than worrying about direct debit scams or paying monthly bills. For me at least.

  • +1

I'm a little surprised this deal isn't getting more traction.
$8 for 38GB seems unbeatable. Am I missing some catch?

    • +2

You are missing some Catch, Kogan and Belong ;-)
Yes, this is currently the best plan for 38GB per month, if you want to continue for long.

      The Catch:

      1. Postpaid Service. First bill will be double (first month pro-rata + second month full)
      2. WIll perform a credit check to activate
      3. The 'data billing' is not exactly as what you'd expect. Data runs out slightly quicker than expected. Dont rely on your phone's data usage tracker, instead use the Circles.Life app to track data usage daily.
      4. Heavy charges if you run over your (data allowance + a free 3GB data addon to prevent "bill-shock")
      5. Porting out is a pain. There are people who have complained that they dont get ported out easily. However, this plan is fine if you plan to 'terminate' at the end and thereby lose your number.
    • +1
      1. Some people were confused with my Title.
      2. Other prefer more data , don't mind to pay more.
      3. Some people prefer a pre-paid sim plan
      4. Some people have bad experience with cancel plan procedure.( Advance notice at least 1 week)
      5. People with billing issue got Credit history impacted.
  • Thanks user alvian for updated the confusing title.
Please note this is NOT 12 months lock-in plan. People can port out / cancel anytime with no penalty. (as I understand it)
"All our plans can be cancelled anytime without any cancellation fees."

However, the first month pro-rata (without bonus) is a catch. I think it is starting each full month on the 1st of each month. So if you start say, on the 15th you'll pay half of the normal price. (But if you only paying half price but still getting the normal full data amount for the month, it should be fine. At least for me.)

  • Had circles for a year before my current Catch plan, was a 28 for 100gb plan I think from memory. Never had a problem. $8 for 38gb is a bargain especially with being at home so much.
