    • No idea what is the month. Corrected to September

  • This is an awesome deal.

  • For my money the X-Com series of games for $13.49 is a better deal. The old ID games have aged, the turn based X-Com games have too - but not as badly.

  • Has anyone actually tried this service - I read an article somewhere criticizing STEAM for NOT allowing downloads to Australians as they market their games retail at much higher prices here vs. the US so Aussies were barred from purchasing via the download service.

I'd be really interested to hear if someone has successfully downloaded/bought something from them.

    • I bought "The Orange Box" via Steam last year, plus "Counter-Strike:Source", all of which worked fine. Plus, my ISP (Internode) run a Steam server, so anything I downloaded from there didn't count against my monthly download limit.

    • Publishers may choose to limit the regions their games are available over steam i.e. Activison, Ubisoft. However this isn't a problem for the larger majority of steams catalouge.

  • Great. Raven Software has just released Heretic and Hexen under Open Source license
