[Klarna] Edifier S350db $299.25, Synology DiskStation DS920+ NAS $745 (after Waiver) + Post @ Wireless1 / JW Computers via Kogan

140

Found the popular edifier s350db for $399 on Kogan / Wireless1 -> becomes $300 after the klarna deal. Delivery free for me.

Also found the Synology ds920+ for $764 delivered for me, a little bit more expensive than the recent eBay deal, good for anyone that missed out and willing paying to pay a bit more ($17).

Hope this helps someone.

  • Coming up as $845 + delivery for the 920+ for me

    • +1

I think that price is taking into account the last Klarna payment of max. $100 being free, i.e. 845-100 = 745

      • Ahhh .. that makes sense but not very clear 😂

  • Can anyone tell me how they are liking these new Synology models with the external power brick?

I personally prefer the PS to be internal and can just plug the standard C13/14 cable into it for a tidy setup. But it seem that they have transitioned away from that to the bricks and swapped to Ryzen procs.

Also, does anyone know about some (soon to be?) hard drive restrictions/limitations?

I happened on that article while looking for reviews.

    Thanks.

    • But it seem that they have transitioned away from that to the bricks

Would that not be a better way to handle heat ?

I have no need for anything more then the 8TB HDD plugged into my Router though…

      • Not really too sure about how much (more) heat is generated inside the case as it's pretty well ventilated .. my preference is to have everything housed in one piece/place with less external wiring for cable management.

But if the market is trending towards external bricks, was just curious why it may be so.

  • Klarna cost - ~ $633

    These are decent NAS

You need your NAS HDDs of course

I'm dumping some Seagate NAS with good working NAS drives

The HDD restrictions are just noise, ignore

    I bought for $845+postage

But a follow on email from the seller seems to suggest that the final payment is covered by Bogan:

Thanks for choosing to shop smoooth with Klarna. This email is to confirm that we're covering your final repayment on your recent purchase at Kogan.com.

All you need to do is make your first 3 fortnightly repayments.

Don't worry, you'll receive reminders from us when your repayments are due.

    So (845/4) * 3 means I paid $633

BUY WITH YOUR EARS PINNED BACK FOLKS

    • Final repayment is capped at $100 via Klama, so will be $745.

      • Yeah but $100 is not covering my payment, some curious language there

I needed to dump some useless Seagate NAS anyway so the price was good ex - subsidy
