Yep, acknowledged in the OP that the sub-3k deal from July was better. Unfortunately some of us didn't get on that deal, and aren't prepared to wait an unknown amount of time to jump on it again.

Unless you’re price monitoring it’s good to know best historical price because that’s a key indicator if you are likely to wait for a sale again or not.

@richmond12: Sure, historical prices can add context, but probably more useful if that's included in the comment. Also, historical low not currently available, unable to use that information to predict when it will happen again, and may never be available again.

As a gamer wanting a PS5-friendly 55-65" 4k OLED, is this excessive? I was looking at this or the BX …
From what I can see the BX is pretty much the same except C1 has better HDR which isnt really a problem for PS5?
The X series is from last year, the comparable model from this year would be the B1.
The jump in quality is bigger between the B1 and C1 than the C1 and G1.
For price/quality ratio I would go the C1 for sure.
The C1 has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports compared to 2 on the B1, as well as a faster processor which will definitely help improve performance overall.

Depends on the prices I guess. I've seen the BX 65 at ~$2400 and the C1 at $2953. For $600 difference I would definitely go the C1.
The main difference between B and C people remark is the peak brightness, which is important for already dim displays
C series has been the sweet spot in the LG lineup for price, performance and future proofed features IMO. Obviously if you've only got $x to spend, then stick to your budget.

Most people prefer a good deal without a gift card after the deal. No point having a gift card that can't be used for the deal.

Hopefully we get more stock over here again soon and the price drops again, seems like most big places are out at the moment (JB, Good Guys / Commercial, etc.)
