I love going on MSY's website. It makes me think it's 1995 again.

        But it works doesn't it.

        The more simple the better.

Just like duct tape and a swiss army knife can fix anything. ^_^

  • Does this actually have a direct network connection? (the specs seem to indicate USB only)

Also note that it appears that you can't remove the internal drive & use in a desktop PC:

Too many bad experiences with MSY especially with returns of faulty items that never got refunded eg faulty motherboard with bent pins, Im very careful and know what im doing.
I try to call many times with no answer then bite the bullet and go in store to wait in a long queue only to find out its not in stock.
All this is at Auburn store by the way cant speak for other stores.
Prefer pay few dollars more at other stores then deal with them.

Deal seems good though but not giving them my cash no more!

    • This is for the ACT store, which means a max 5min wait or no wait at all.

I did a 2 hour drive to get a usb to parallel port that their site said they had in stock. They sold it to me and so I bought some other stuff but when I got home it turned out they gave me a usb to serial connector. Too far to be bothered trying to return it and never went back…

    where's the detail?

is it 2.5? 3.5? is it really wireless? does it have ethernet? is it usb3?

i stuffed around on clickfree's website and even they arent too clear…

    • I would also like to know this as I'm after an external HDD I can put files on and access it via wifi through my router.

ok i trolled their manuals (which are crap)

1stly these seem to be noob backup products so you'll have to put up with crappy autostart software and the like…

forget wireless because i don't think there's any but its probably a reasonable assumption to make that this item is a 3.5 USB2.0 1tb drive with a power adapter since the original price is $95

if its the 2.5 its a decent bargain… if its a 3.5 it less of a bargain

  • btw. i can't stand noob IT devices and would just rather have the thing spam up the usual windows 1tb drive dialogue window rather than the auto backup crap

  • How fast is the Wireless? It's kind of pointless if it's 54 Mbit/s.

    • I think that depends on your setup rather than the device. Note the Device connects via LAN and hence you can connect wirelessly to it. Not that it exists as a wireless access point

      • Does it actually connect via LAN? It appears to only have a USB port.

    • How fast is the Wireless

However fast your existing wireless is. This device is NOT wireless, ya see.

  • I bought this yesterday. The wireless definitely does not work so I will return it.

  • old school ftw
